Bills are 7.5 point favorites. Home teams usually get 3 points to start. So....we are really 4.5 point favorites?

 

Or does the three point home advantage no longer apply?

It's about 1.5 nowadays.  Maybe 2 points at Buffalo.

After that, all bets are off, but that doesn't help Denver much.

I haven’t watched much of Denver at all this year. I know they have some good players on D.. and Bo Nix appears to be legit. And we know they’re well coached. 
 

Any reason to be worried about Denver?

Receivers getting shut down by Surtain. And....coaching. A well coached team can beat anyone.

Yeah , they’re a team in the playoffs and our next opponent. No walks in the park come playoff time.

I love they have a shut down CB !! He will take away let’s say Cooper .. ok. Josh will find other guys who are open. Certainly a solid D, good coach, QB and decent WR core. Don’t run the ball that well.. so overall hard fought Bills W.

Nix is mobile and has developed a decent connection with his #1 WR, Courtland Sutton. Sean Payton found himself an oldish, talented rookie QB with TONS of ELITE college experience to basically download his offensive philosophy into. They don't run the ball well, but they do move the pocket and utilize easy answers in the passing game to matriculate down the field at times. And we all saw them discover some explosivity these last couple weeks. 

 

Their defense can be problematic. Their line pressures QBs better than anyone else (inside and outside), and they have one elite shutdown CB. I don't know too much else there.

 

My hope comes from what Nix looked like in the rain early this year: ball control/grip and accuracy issues. It's gonna be cold and probably breezy. That could help limit Denver's offense.

Got to take these guys seriously. They will not be an easy game. Still, we are the best team in football. No excuses. Overcome the coaching shortcomings and continue the season. 1 at a time, find a way to get it done

I trust Playoff Josh in Round 1.  His only really dud games were Division round vs. Cincinnati and Division Round vs. Baltimore. Even then dud is pretty relative for him.

I'm not worried about them taking the Broncos lightly.

NFLN seems to have not watched any Bills games in 2024 as their analist wearing the graph paper suit and trying to find the camera with the red ***** light on it, says the following to the Broncos about the Bills, and I quote:

 

"You guys already went up to Buffalo last year and won the game but it was all based on your defense. Continue to get turnovers, continue to pressure the QB, continue to stop the run ... Josh Allen is gonna give you an opportunity ... you have to find a way to get interceptions"
