Worth taking a minute to remember the days when I thought we'd never have this kind of stability and success. We owe the Pegulas/Beane/McDermott big time.

Crazy to see Whaley AND Russ Brandon in that video

I was thinking about that with Surtain.  It's really one of the nice things about not having a true #1 guy in our WR corps.  He'll probably take Cooper most of the time - or maybe Shakir? It doesn't really matter, because we spread it around more than any other top-tier team.

I think the only advantage Denver has over us is - weirdly - youth & inexperience. They don't have that pressure of expectation that the Bills have.  If they can hang in the game long enough, that could potentially be a negative for the Bills. Just knowing how devastating an upset in the WC round would be.

But I don't expect that to play out.  I think we come out, execute, play our game, and play like the better team w/ the significantly better QB, at home.  I expect us to take a lead early not not really look back.

Surtain barely matters.  As you say, he takes away the #1 but we don't have a #1.  We have "Everyone Eats."

Let's say you're right and he covers Coop.  Well, Cooper has only been averaging about 2.5 catches per game with the Bills.  Shutting Coop down won't decide the game.

Surtain's a great cover corner who'll stay tight to whoever he's assigned.  So what?  According to advanced metrics, our receivers don't get separation.  Yet we move the ball and score points anyway.

Adam Rank of ESPN is picking Denver to upset Bills. 😡

Just can't happen at home against a rookie QB!

100% agree. We scored 48 against Detroit and Cooper didn't even get a target.

If they play man they have to spy Allen. That leaves a TE or RB essentially uncovered every play. Allen will find the open check down. He has all season.

If they don't spy Allen and they play man, Allen will rush for 100 yards.

Last year’s team was really terrible. Perhaps the worst in the Josh era.

lol.  Worse than 2018?  No chance.  Last year was also better than 2019.

the injuries @ LB and CB in the playoffs really hurt-  and we still almost beat the champions

the bills beat the bills that day

When the Bills beat themselves, that is the only chance opposing opposing teams have a chance to win.  The Ravens game is the outlier since the MNF Indy blowout years ago.  Bills play their game, and stay healthy, no one is beating them this season.

If the Bills can win the AFC then the Lombardi is ours!!  Baltimore and KC are legit contenders. I’m just praying we can make it through the gauntlet.

Go Chargers, go Steelers.

I think you want Houston to win.  They would be a much easier out than Chargers imo.

You're right. I had it mixed up - I thought the Chargers would play KC regardless, and they stand the best chance against KC.  But if they win & the Steelers win, we get the Chargers.

Bummer. I thought today was more uncomplicated.

Check out the Buffalo Rumblinggs attached video in the linked text, talking with Spencer Brown. Allen with shades of Johnny Unitas bloodied and beaten getting it done!

The best part of not having a wild card Saturday playoff game is knowing your team is still alive on Sunday morning

I put on the nfl network pregame for a minute.  Steve Smith with that cocky arrogant attitude he always has had said Lamar Jackson is the standard not just the mvp but the standard.

I turned off nfl network because it seems all they can find to talk about is this mvp debate.

Its pretty wild how much former players dislike and discredit Allen.

I really hope this is the year.

This is horse 💩!

Also, after extensive research,  I've found that the 2024 Bills are only the 6th team in NFL history to lose 4 games or more in the regular season while winning just 13.

Add in their lack of All Pro's and I guess they are arguably the worst 13 win team ever!:o
