I worry about this game...against a good defense with a hot new QB and the Buffalo defense is not what it used to be. The #1 rush team in the NFL...whats the plan?

Challenge them close to the LOS and make Nix beat you in Buffalo by throwing the ball down the field.  Watching their offense, they love the screen game and I expect several of them early in this game, especially to get Nix settled it.  The key is, don't ever let him feel settled.  Play up close, jam the WRs and don't take your eyes off the RBs.  This will help not only take away their screen game, but assist in stopping the run as well.

I know it goes against McDermotts entire philosophy, but sometimes you have to let your CB and S positions do their job.  You have to trust them to keep everything in front of them in some games, especially when you have a team like the Broncos that live primarily in the short to intermediate areas and like to beat teams through a thousand little paper cuts.  Yes, the Broncos have talented WRs that can make plays and I am sure at some point they will.  However, can they make enough big plays consistently to beat us in our stadium with the offense we have?  Maybe....but I would have to see it to believe it.

As for the offense, just be you.  Honestly, watching these last few weeks of the season, it has become very obvious that we have put a lot of our repertoire on ice since the Lions game.  The last time we saw this offense go all out and have everything on the table on offense was that game.  Since then, they have scaled back a lot in what they have brought to the table to won games.  Playoff Allen will be fully charged up and ready to go and I expect this offense to look a lot different than it has since that Lions game.  If the defense can hold Denver to under 23-24 points or so, we should win this game.  I do worry about this defense in the Playoffs, though.  They have not had one postseason yet where they have great football.  And honestly, I am not sure we have the defensive line to change that this season.  But I maintain that we have the best football player on the planet playing for us and his will to win is unmatched.  I trust that if the defense doesn't have a complete meltdown as they usually do at some point in the playoffs, that we have a chance to win.

I expect this game to play out like Bills-Colts from 2020.

I think the Broncos will move the ball against the Bills easier than we’d like.

The margins for this Bills offense to exploit are going to be thin. In that game it was Gabe Davis with two razor-thin catches along the sideline and unconventional TD to Knox, capped by a late goal line stand.

If the Broncos move the ball easier than we would like this Bills team won’t survive much past this weekend….if at all.

All I heard on this board for years is that defense doesn't matter in the modern NFL so the Bills should load up on offense and outscore teams in the playoffs. Now, this week all I'm hearing is that we gonna lose because the Broncos have a better defense than the Bills. So, which is it?

oops, should have said, pass rush team!

They are.  But just as they're the #1 pass rush team and it's not close, the Bills are the #1 least sacked team and it's not close.

I expect our OL and DL to come up out fired up by the all-around All Pro snubbing

It was a clean sweep on “around the horn” on team most on upset alert this weekend and it was your Buffalo bills!!

yes I still watch around the horn. And PTI.

So what was "Around the Horn" and "PTI"s pre-season take on our Billsesssss?

Any one that's worried is gonna worry about every possible bills game matchups and find ways to worry about it. I'm more worried about the refs handing the ravens a win this week and the same for chiefs

At a high level, turnover margin and 3rd down conversion % will be what makes this a close game or blowout.

Trenches will decide alot, as always.  I like our chances to be able to run and use our RBs/TEs consistently in the pass game.  Riley Moss on Keon will be interesting to watch, i think we have a chance for some jump balls.

On defense, I like our run defense this week.  Denver deploys a ton of playaction/bootlegs to use Bo's athleticism.  I hope we bring a lot of nickle/safety blitzes off the edge on early downs to minimize letting Bo get outside.  I'm expecting a strong game from Ed and Groot, extra rest will do them well.

I have a feeling the Bills are going to come and just rip the Broncos a new a**hole on Sunday.

Irritated with the constant snubs whether it be pro bowl, AP, MVP and now plenty of people suddenly think Denver is the chic pick to beat the Bills Sunday.

McD will have this team fully embracing the nobody believes in you role, the disrespect and it's them against everyone mindset.

I forgot the Broncos beating Buffalo last year got Ken Dorsey fired.

Not counting sitting the starters last week the Bills are 19-4 in the regular season (and 20-5 overall) since the switch to Brady. Not bad considering they were 5-5 last season before the move.

While I never think a Bills win is automatic, and I certainly don’t think that way with the Broncos, I feel pretty calm about this game.  Not sure why.

Pretty sure scoring more than 30 and holding to less than 30 works anytime. 🤣

Pretty sure scoring more than the opponent scores, whatever that number may be, works anytime

With the help of DPI on an underthrown moonball to Jeudy.  Getting in the way of the receiver coming back from the ball will ***** the DB every time.

Result was 28 yards on a 3rd and 10 and a 1st down at the Buffalo 17 yd line.

I expect a close game but when it is a 7 pt Bills lead mid way through the 4th the defense will cause a mistake from Bo and Josh will score once more to make it 2 scores and the victory.

I could just as easily see the Bills get up by 2 scores and then force Bo Nix to throw a pick pressing to make it a blowout.

Anyone that thinks defense doesn’t matter is clueless. Believe me I understand the frustration. I have been dying on this hill for 6 years now. I hated the passive aggressive zone and Les Fraizer more than anyone. The defense is the reason why wr have lost every single playoff game since 2019. The defense is why the chiefs AND bengals beat us. It’s an absolute concern and it’s the reason I kill McDermott so much. He’s not pulling his weight. The defense either steps up here or we waste another year of Josh’s prime

Four more wins this January and February please!

Next year can be the year of "worrying" or "being concerned about" 1st Team All-Pro or MVP when the Super Bowl LIX trophy is safely in Buffalo.

Win the Lombardi this year and players like Brown, Groot and Cook will be actually receiving votes next year.
