Why is the national media so widely saying this could be the upset of the weekend.

What am I not seeing?

I really can't believe more aren't talking about that Ravens vs Steelers matchup.

The media are talking about every game. Just need to look and many are saying Vikings will lose in an upset.

Me too. The AFCN are harder on each other than any division in football.

But also the Steelers have been really bad.

Ultimately I think sports shows and the league are trying to spotlight Nix and Payton as the “next big thing”. Tomlin and Russ aren’t as compelling even if they do have a better chance.

The teams I think could actually spring a true “upset” this weekend are the Packers and Steelers.  LA over the Vikings would not really be an upset as the Rams have played very well down the stretch.  Same with Chargers over Texans.  Bucs/Commandos is a toss-up, and the Bills should take care of business without too much difficulty.

The Ravens (and Lamar) have so much pressure on them this weekend, and the Packers are simply a lot better than I believe most people realize.

The media doesn't know what they are talking about.

I do think the broncos offence will give the bills defence issues, as they run a lot of screens/play action/misdirection in which the bills do struggle with. (I still Strongly believe bills win)

However, I can guarantee the media saying Denver could upset the Bills wasn't basing it off any logical point haha

Agreed, but... ALL of the pressure in our game is on Buffalo. No one expected Denver to be here, and they are playing with house money.

Friday before the biggest Bills game of the year and the WGR morning show is just intolerable. These two guys and all the kids they have now are so clueless. They don’t even know factual things about football. It’s just them killing half hours saying “I think I’m remembering this random irrelevant thing” and the other guy not knowing enough to correct it.

I’m way down state so I have to go out of my way to listen and when I first got there I thought Schopp and the bulldog were the worst. Fast forward a few years and they are the only people on the station with an ounce of professionalism. You could go to the bank and get 2 guys that know more about sports than these kids or Jeremy. Have some pride

Money talks, the Denver ownership group [Wal-Mart family] are the wealthiest owners $75BB in the NFL.  They are relative newcomers, but the other owners are small potatoes in comparative wealth.

Because the Bills have a mediocre defense and an awful special teams.

The Bills offense is going up against a very good defense.

This game isn’t the pushover some people think it will be.

Well, sure…when you’re the home team the pressure is on, but I’m not worried at all about the Bills’ focus.

Of course. It’s the playoffs, the teams the Bills can beat with their “c” game have been eliminated.

All of this is Talking points, thats all. They talk about what they think will get the most views, not what will actually happen. The fact that someone comes here to discuss it means that their talking points worked.

At what point do we need to realize the national media isn't some important factor in outcomes, it's just people talking about stuff to make money.

Plus Jeremy is a super political guy now and injects his biases into a lot of conversations.  WBEN is where he should move...

I predicted the Bills to win 27-20 so I am expecting a tough game.

I too think this will be the case for much of the 1st half, but eventually we’ll adjust.

The very best thing about living outside of Buffalo is the extra work it takes to listen to WGR.

It’s one of the few times in life that a barrier to entrance is a net positive.

At no point in my day am I ever tempted to switch on my AM radio to 550 because I’m way out of the area. If I am putting in the effort to use my phone instead of Sirius then I’m throwing on Nugs or Spotify.

It’s awesome!

I think this game will be more difficult than the Bills are anticipating and they cannot take the Broncos lightly. Payton is a savvy coach and the game last year with a declining Wilson and a great game plan was able to defeat us. That to me is my big worry. McD has shown several times in the past 7 years that he can come up with a brilliant game plan that the team executes to perfection, the Pats playoff blowout is a good example. But what scares me is when this coaching staff comes up with a dud like the Cincy playoff game. So which version of McD is going to show up on Sunday?

The guy was a giant fan when the bills lost the Super Bowl to them. He constantly acts like defense means nothing spent months talking about WRs. The bills offense is literally incredible and their 2nd highest WR has 31 catches. The guy is clueless. He spoke about tanking from day 1 of that Sabres season and all they have done since then has been lose. Put him on at 3am

Yeah I’m an hour north of NYC I grew up with some of the best sports radio in the history of the world. It’s sucks now but the first time I ever put on WGR it sounded like 2 dudes on a CB radio

Not always the case. Do the home team Texans have more pressure than the Chargers? I' say no.

Even before the game was moved I would say the away team Vikings had a lot more pressure than the Rams.
