Broncos have definitely had some huge sack games. 7 against the bengals. I think 6 against the Bucs.

It seems like the games where they didn’t get a lot of sacks, they struggled more.

if we don’t give up more than 1-2 sacks, it’s going to be tough for them to get us “off schedule.”

I posted the breakdown above. They didn't really get to mobile guys that much and they struggled to beat those guys. They got to Burrow 7 times but Burrow's line blocks like they hate him normally. Herbert only 5 times in 2 games. They got Mahomes 4 times and really should have won that game and Mayfield 7 times and beat them so there is that concern but as we know,  teams that play a lot of man and blitz have trouble with Josh's legs and Josh looks to run on them. If they really commit to spying Josh the backs will eat through the air.

During and after the game, it was said "no observed or reported injuries".

So none of us know for sure if the final punt return was where Codrington injured himself (though Bangedup Bills commented limping slightly afterwards)   He might have injured himself on one of his other 8 ST snaps or his 27 snaps as a CB and aggravated it there.  He might not have realized he was hurt vs just shaking off a hit until it started to stiffen up a couple days later

It was a kickoff return with a little over two minutes left where it's likely he hurt it.  I'm just wondering why we he was still in a meaningless game with about two minutes left.

The Sunday School class is 9:15 AM.  I don't mind doing it.  I'm also substituting for the pastor by preaching on Sunday.  I'll still be home for the game at 1 PM.  I don't mind.

Ahh ok. I must’ve misread.  I thought class was happening during the game

Thanks for this!

if you think about it, when has a spy really every truly worked against Josh?

I guess if I am the broncos, I think about maybe trying to rush 4 as much as possible, keep a spy, and really play tight man coverage at every level, including on the check downs. But even then, I suspect we will run it down their throats.

by comparison, they only sacked Lamar once, and the ravens beat them 41-10. Lamar 16/19 for 280 yards. Henry over

100’yards.

Also heard they struggle vs mobile QBs and use the DE / Edge Bonito as the spy, which is not the greatest plan as it hurts pass rush.

Anyone have Sean Payton vs Sean McDermott stays and outcomes when McDermott was with the Panthers?

Payton knows the defense

Here

Someone pointed out after I posted that Payton was suspended for 2 games in 2012 which would make it "even steven" for Payton as HC of NO vs McDermott as DC

Of course, the two QBs and offenses had roles, it's not entirely on McD

Depending on where Cooper’s head is at with his personal/family issue, I can see he and Josh testing Surtain once or twice downfield.

Doesn't Surtain stick to one side and not follow a receiver?

I'm not looking past Denver, but Baltimore is hot, and if we have to face them, they're our biggest hurdle to the Superbowl.

KC just doesn't scare me.

Literally no one is overlooking KC, the two time defending Super Bowl Champ with the best regular season record in the NFL this season.

I did something wrong and it didn’t quote the post I was referencing. We can’t overlook anyone. The fact that we are expected to win this week scares me. That’s one heck of a defense.

"It's time to finish what "we" started".

Those who know my posts might know whenever I speak of the team, I never use "we" or "us".

I always say The Bills, or The Team.  I never want to dilute the effort the players and coaches make.

Micah's words make me feel different this time.

For some reason I get a feeling this is the year.

Everyone "eats" and "everyone" wins!

"WE got this"!

Go Bills.

Burrow and Winston throw for a combined 900 yards against them. No reason Josh shouldn't be able to light them up.

Agreed…  Josh throws for 950 yards!

Any season ticket holders been selected recently to hold flags on the field pre-game (for team/player announcements I think)?

Our two seats got picked, and we have to report to the Fieldhouse pre-game to partake next week. No clue yet what this entails, or how excited we should be. My 72-year old mom (who taught me how to have an unhealthy lifelong relationship with local corporate football) is ecstatic, like the org has finally recognized her LOL.

Got more detail on what's entailed in this on-field banner-holding business: it's gonna eat up nearly our entire tailgate. "Check-in" is at 10:45 AM, and we don't get to our seats until after kickoff apparently. Gonna be a sober Wildcard round for this fan.

Logistical question: anyone know if leaving lot 1 onto Big Tree, we would be allowed to turn right/westbound onto Big Tree and cross Abbott to get out to Southwestern and our route up the lake and river? We normally park at ECC so getting west is easy-peasy.
