If Mahomes doesn't have Jones he has 2 less Super Bowls.

Completely take away those two Super Bowl seasons, and he's still got a ring.  Not to mention two additional AFC titles and four additional appearances in the Championship game.  If the Bills had that resume at the end of Allen's career, I would be thrilled.

The Chiefs barely blink and they are sitting in the Final Four.  McDermott has one trip past the Divisional Round, and it was an absolute grind to get there.  With Allen at QB and his supposed genius as a defensive coach, he shouldn't NEED a superstar to make the next step.  If his defense could just play average for 4 straight playoff games, we would probably win it all.

The Bills lost 3 or their 5 games against playoff teams. Surprisingly their 2 wins were against the Chiefs and Lions.

Right.  The thing to remember, at least the biggest takeaway I have from the losses, is that the Bills were banged up and not anywhere close to the team they are now when they lost back to back to the Ravens and the Texans.  The offense is humming now and the team is as healthy as they've been all season.  I think a lot of people are putting way too much weight on those two losses.

I know, but their point differential is +10 in those games until you include the Ravens game. That's the only point I was trying to make. The Ravens killed us, and that game counts, but it isn't like the Bills got killed by playoff teams. Just one. The others were close losses or wins.

Interesting. The Bills have not fared well in this regard against playoff teams. Going to be a tough road ahead. I didn’t realize we only played 5 games against playoff teams.

If you want positive news in that chart, it's Denver only being +3 after being handed a 38-0 victory by Andy Reid coaching to lose last week. That means in their other games against playoff teams they are -35.

Apologies if this analysis has been posted elsewhere (I didn't see it), but it suggests that Brady is just as much part of the Bills' offensive revival as Allen. We haven't had a true, league-wide innovator since Ted Marchibroda!

I'm not looking past Denver, but Baltimore is hot, and if we have to face them, they're our biggest hurdle to the Superbowl.

KC just doesn't scare me.

The wins weren't really that close, the score was just close.

Surprisingly Dan is pretty low on Buffalo:

People forget Allen will be donning his cape again starting this weekend:

"I put my armor on, show you how strong I am
I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am

I'm unstoppable
I'm a Porsche with no brakes
I'm invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I'm so powerful
I don't need batteries to play
I'm so confident
Yeah, I'm unstoppable today

Unstoppable today
Unstoppable today
Unstoppable today
I'm unstoppable today"

I meant the losses were close. I should have said "wins or close losses."

You also have to remember that Baltimore was 1-2 at the time and the Bills hadn't lost. They were desperate and at home. Buffalo was sitting pretty. This team still didn't have Amari Cooper, and they were still trying to find their footing offensively. I think that game was a combination of things that favored Baltimore and didn't favor Buffalo

Josh was simply bad in Houston. I think he really wanted to prove to Diggs and everyone else that he was every bit of the guy he was thought to be, and that he pressed.

This team isn't one that can't beat good teams. They have risen to the moment against the best teams, but the defense has folded in the playoffs

They have to stand up this postseason

Pretty sure they faired well vs playoff teams (Det, KC) and earlier in the season with defensive injuries and the offense meshing didn't help with baltimore and houston

Depending on where Cooper’s head is at with his personal/family issue, I can see he and Josh testing Surtain once or twice downfield.

Not sure why they’d bother with that, Surtain doesn’t travel. I’d stick Keon/Mack on Surtain’s side of the field all day and never look in their direction while Coop has a 1 on 1 matchup with Moss all game.

On a Denver note, they need to go back to their classic uniforms full-time. The new ones are awful.

Same thing could be said about the Seahawks.

This is so obvious but more than half this board refuses to acknowledge it.

It is complete malfeasance at this point.

Well it’s Thursday and I am even more nervous this morning.

pass the Rolaids.

I have zero nerves. If this team is a Super Bowl worthy team there is no way they are losing this game to that team.  More likely they win by 10+ points.
