Honestly, where else is a guy like that going to earn a living for his family?  He’s got a plum job working the Bills sidelines and has to talk for a couple hours a day on the radio. I don’t know how much he makes, but it’s obviously a better gig than what Dunne and the podcasters have to do to make a living.

If McDermott needs a Josh Allen-level player on the Defense too in order to get past the Divisional Round... then it's time to completely re-evaluate how that side of the ball is being handled.  Either the scheme needs to change, or Brandon Beane needs to change the kind of players he's drafting, or the coaching staff needs to be overhauled to make sure guys are being developed properly.

 

 

 

 

If Mahomes doesn't have Jones he has 2 less Super Bowls.

It’s been exactly the issue. How do those drives continue ? The lack of a guy that makes a play when needed - i.e third down. It doesn’t have to be a Josh Allen level player ( there just aren’t many of those) but they don’t have a stud on D that changes a game. Now, Allen is so good that the team could go to the Bowl without that impact defender. If not they need that guy quick. They don’t have a couple seasons to wait on development and see if the guy pans out.

Going into the bottom of the fifth inning of game 5 of the world series this year, the yankees were winning big and about to make a series out of it and have all the momentum.  Coming out of the break Suzyn Waldman whom I love on the radio said, Welcome to the bottom of the fifth where if you are just tuning in Gerrit Cole has a no hitter.

 

Over the next 30 minutes I watched the worst inning of Yankees baseball I have seen in my life and I have been watching since 83.

 

Don't be a Suzyn Waldman and put the maloik on the injury report.

 

Side note, John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman dont believe in the jinx and always talk like this.  They called a no hitter in Oakland in 2023 and talked about it the whole game.

Who's our KR/PR if Codrington can't go? Ty Johnson? I'd almost take a page out of the late 2000s Jets book when they had Jim Leonhard on returns because "Jimmy Leonhard could catch a punt in a hurricane" despite not being fast and put a hands team guy like Mack Hollins back there.

I’m not belittling the guy, just pointing out that he’s a company shill. Everybody has to make a living and he gets to hang out with an NFL team. There are worse gigs.

they will be able to go a little longer at another position if he is inactive sunday.  It will be interesting to see where they do that.  I wonder if that gets an extra linebacker to the active roster.

Gotta love playoff football!  I love this matchup for the Bills.  I have a ton of respect for the Broncos & what they've accomplished this year, but for them, it's a first step.  We're the better team, the more seasoned team, and we're at home.

 

One of those games where we just need to execute & limit mistakes, and we should win comfortably.

Nix can be a bit of a gunslinger, there will be chances for INTs, or big plays for them.

 

But there’s a reason Vegas has made Buffalo a 9 point favorite.  That’s pretty large, and despite having a terrific season, Allen, Cook and the Oline should be able to move the ball well and Nix should not be able to have a career day here.

He said Denver treats Surtain like the Jets used to treat Revis, they put him on one side of the field and you put an "X" on that side of the field, and that takes away everything the Bills want to do?  Except the Bills are probably less dependent than most other teams on having a star receiver Surtain can take away?  It didn't make sense to me but maybe I just don't understand him.
