I got enough gray hairs from that game. Let's not do that again.

I say peggs needs to tell him to bring in a new DC, with a better system and just HC.

I was thinking that as well, could McDermott put aside the ego and and put the teams first ? I actually think he could and would do it.

Everyone agrees with you on how ownership feels. He's not going anywhere even if we lose vs Denver and Bo nix looks like prime Marino

But if that happens, in year 7 with Allen, I'm telling you that Josh Allen and the bills will never get to ,( not win), a super bowl.

It will never happen with this coach. And with a big Ben, Elway level QB, that's more depressing than the Kelly super bowl years.

To have this level of QB and your coach is that terrible in the playoffs on his side of the football is pure nihilism in a sports sense and fans will grow extremely bitter and cynical. Regardless of how Terry feels or whatever

This is just getting so sensationalized to me.  like yea if you start dropping playoff games to the broncos of the league it gets obvious what you have to do.  But the teams that we’ve been losing to have first ballot hof qbs also that are gonna put points on the board against anyone.  Chiefs had a few games each playoff run against top tier offenses where they had to score 30 or 40+ to win.

The defensive mastermind that ‘stopped’ banged up mahomes in the playoffs that one time just got fired and their head coach is on the hot seat for missing the playoffs so I think it’s pretty safe to say no one in the league really has the recipe for the playoff chiefs.  Heck it’s not even like belichick did it, they had to score 36 to win that one and they got lucky with an ot coin toss.

I just don’t know who you’re bringing in for head coach that’s gonna flip the script.  Let’s say you hire Ben Johnson tomorrow, even if you have a pretty low opinion of mcd defensively who is Johnson bringing in at DC to right the ship? I don’t think you’re getting someone better than mcd even if you don’t like mcd.  The big name DCs will get head coaching gigs and he’ll probably be stuck with a retread head coach level guy for DC which is what the anti mcd crowd sees mcd as anyway 🤣. I think it’s a big risk to probably end up right back in the same place at best.

the ‘if it doesn’t happen this year it won’t happen’ argument just doesn’t suit the nfl playoffs imo.  It’s so ridiculously high variance where the team that wins it is probably catching a few breaks along the way.  To me, there isn’t this huge distinction between regular season bills chiefs games with massive playoff seeding implications and the playoff games. Both teams are throwing everything they have into both those kinds of games.   Pretty much any of them could’ve gone either way and the playoff sample size is just way too small to single out.

McDermott is going absolutely nowhere.

For coaches with 100+ games coached, McD is 2nd only to LaFleur in win percentage among active coaches and he has coached 31 more games.

The reason why it's important to go more than 4-5 years is because it eliminates coaches who have won with only one group of core players mainly and starts showing what happens when the team has to reload on the fly/shuttle aging vets and replace them with younger players.

Where's Guy Chamberlin when you need him?  C'mon, Terry...

Still in my top 5 all-time for games attended.  Went from an "oh, crap" feeling to "holy s-h-i-t!!!" in about five minutes.  Rich Stadium was insane.

Yeah, this is just not the kind of offense that has given us a lot of problems this season.  Denver’s going to need turnovers and a big special teams play or two to have a chance.

I don't want to underestimate them. They are probably going to move the ball with short passes but again, the model is making them settle for FG and be opportunistic with turnovers.

This is the same offense that had 17 points in 59 minutes vs the Bengals D

The media has been smoking crack predicting an upset. They really think a rookie QB is going to come to the toughest environment in pro-football (look at the home record) and beat Allen and a very opportunistic defense. I know they play the games for a reason, but this game won’t even be close. 30+ rushing and 30+ passing TDs averaging over 30 points a game. It’s never been done. This is the best one overall team in the McD era. I don’t give 2 Fs about the “lack of super stars” and the myth that Allen does it all himself. Not this season. Real die hard fans know I’m right. The Bills are stacked and healthy. The freakin Broncos aren’t doing anything. Sean Payton doesn’t have Drew Brees anymore. I love Bo Nix and I think he’s going to be a real problem. He reminds me of Josh Allen is a lot of ways, but he’s not coming into a hostile environment like this and winning. Knock on wood 🪵

Dan O on our best way to beat Denver’s D. Add in COOP to be constantly guarded by PS, and we should feast.

Dont know that Surtain will be on Coop all game. I dont think he shadows a WR, I thought they basically gave him a side of the field to shut down.

Me too! I took an auditor rep from work to this game. We both believed Denver lining up to kick a gimme FG would spell doom for day. Took me til Thursday to get my voice back!

My thoughts exactly when I posted a couple of days ago...Cook and Ty Johnson in line for big games.

This also help the OL as Josh can be quick and effective with these passes.
