Again Marvin Lewis didn't have a first ballot Hof QB. McDermott does

So do the teams he’s losing to. The Josh Allen argument doesn’t work until he loses to a QB worse than Josh Allen.

McDermott haters should probably hope he loses to Denver. Losing to Baltimore or KC won’t change anything.

I can't wait to see Sean Paytons little smug smirk at the end of the first quarter when it's Buffalo 14, Denver 0 and Josh has the ball. Gonna be a bash at the stadium and we are gonna crush Denver. Josh and the boys sit by the 4th Q. Bank it boys!

Even with an upset by Denver, the McDermott haters would probably not get what they want.  The preseason expectation was playoffs or bust.

Just because McDermott far exceeded regular season expectations I don't think management would hold that against him in the post season.  While losing to Denver would be disappointing I don't think management would treat it as a reason to clean house.

McDermott probably won’t be fired with a loss to Denver but it begins the process. He would be on the hot seat the next season.

People want him on the hot seat for losing to the best teams in the league. It’s just not realistic.

So will each season keep running the same path? Get to the play offs, lose to a good team. Rinse and repeat. At want point does having a unicorn at QB put pressure on McDermott to pick up the big prize? Or does the unicorn decide he wants a change of scenery because it's not going to happen in Buffalo.

I see more of a shootout in this one unless defense steps up Buffalo is bottom of the league at getting the defense off the field. Bottom of the league at 3rd down defense. Bills win but I don't think it's going to be a blow out or anything. Hope I'm wrong. I'd love a no heart attack game.

Marvin Lewis didn't have Allen...

More cover 1 excuses already being prepped for the playoffs if McDermott can't stop a nose bleed

I doubt KC wins the next 10 Super Bowls. They might win 5 of the next 10 though.

What I’m saying is the likelihood is the Bills will eventually win the AFC if they continue winning the division and a wildcard game. All it takes is one year of getting hot and lucky.

No, you don't have the same path each season.  Each season is different.

This season was a "retool".  Highlighted by the obviously undermanned WR room.  The expectations were the Bills were fighting for their playoff lives.

And congratulations for trying to wedge in a new angle of paranoia.  The totally manufactured and make believe idea that the soon to be MVP Josh is upset.

I wish people would stop throwing out guys like Aaron Quinn and Joe Marino and all that. They severely lack ball knowledge.

My number one most hated head coach has always been Sean Payton for a couple reasons.

His smugness! He likes to talk trash to players.

The number one reason is he was very close to becoming the Bills head coach before becoming the Saints coach. He talked about dodging a bullet because Buffalo went a different direction. The way he said it just rubbed me the wrong way.

The bedwetters need to chill.  We couldn’t ask for a better first round matchup at home…rookie QB on a team that snuck into the playoffs on the last week of the season by beating the Chiefs’ taxi squad.  Of course the Broncos have their strengths, but they are not built to win a game like this.  Bills, 31-13.

I'm taking them seriously, and Denver's D looks solid but the more I hear about Nix and the Broncos offense (from Denver journalists no less!) I feel more confident

-Minimal run game

- No big bodies TE for over the middle

- Nix doesn't make bad decisions so much as he's still learning coverages

- Off with his deep ball, tends to overthrow

-Best route is a 12-15 dig to Sutton

This is probably jinxing us but this is the kind of offense McDermott built his scheme to hold in check. Disguised zone coverage, able to let TJ in the slot and let Bernard play clean over the middle.

I don't think he'll be angling to leave whatever happens this season, or even next. There will come a time if the rings don't come though - especially if no Super Bowl win is forthcoming. I think the same can be said of Burrow and Jackson.

I agree McDermott won't be fired yet, whatever happens in the post season. Whether it is time to move on is up to personal debate. Some think a change might work, others are concerned it won't, which is fair.

Its crazy how clean he has played against us.

No INT in the 3 games against us and 8 in the other 15 games.

9 TDs versus us 37 in the other 15.

3 sacks for us 32 in the other 15.

93 rushing yards against us 431 in the other 15.

11 fumbles in the other games and none against us.

I dont know what his rating would be without our games but hes 120+ in all of them and only 105 in total.

just insane how much better he plays against us.  We need a pats perfect game to get rid of this trauma.

It just kind of feels like Mahomes is bored unless it's Allen standing on the other side of the field from him.

Anything short of Lombardi will have the McD haters out in full force.  Even though it was a mini rebuild, if you will.

He's a fantastic coach imo.
