The only thing in question weather wise is Bo Nix, but he played well in Denver yesterday in 30 degrees. Yes I know where Denver is. but I am wondering what is the coldest game they played this year? Was it yesterday? Quote

Would like to see us pound Denver and rest starters by 4th quarter. that OL and DL looked totally different in Det than the week prior. Skylar Thompson didn’t do jack as his low passer rating reflects. The only reason that game was close was because of the three turnovers we gifted them and a crap performance by our O line. 2 Quote

Herbert and Burrow dropped 34 and 30 on them, and the team has not one unless it has held opponent to 20 or less. Excellent-- I think not. And we won exactly 3 games this year against teams with winning records... Both of these teams feasted on bad teams this year. Quote

The only reason that game was close was because of the three turnovers we gifted them and a crap performance by our O line. we were still in offensive kamikaze mode, only going for ultra deep passes, and we had post retirement beaz and brown out there with knox and diggs and davis, and singleterry at rb. we also had staffold who put in what i think is the worst post season performance by an OG in the playoffs i've ever seen. the difference, not just in philosophy, but also in talent on our O now is kinda shocking. diggs was great, but that season and the next he fell off hard and was a bozo in the playoffs. singleterry is worse than any back we have, kinkaid is a real upgrade to knox, who is an upgrade to whoever was behind him before. dawkins is still dawkins, but our LG, C, RG, and RT (brown has gotten much better, i think hes top 5) are all better now. at WR, I'd say davis/coleman is kinda a wash, shakir is legit better than diggs was the past two playoffs, and cooper and hollins are miles better than the trash we had rounding out or roster the past two off seasons. i expect shock and awe from our O the entire playoffs. it's gonna be the josh allen show with the backs and oline chewing up the left overs. Dan Posted Monday at 06:37 PM Posted Monday at 06:37 PM This game is finally here! I've been waiting weeks for this.. I suspect the team has as well. Denver is a good team. They're solid all around and Nix is going to be a good QB for years. This by no means is an easy, blow out type win. I hope the team is up for it. And that is my only true concern for this game. Can the Bills turn it on and play hard from the opening whistle? Which comes back to my initial thought… I've been waiting for this week. Think about the way this season ended. The Bills played the Chiefs forever ago, it seems. Then had their bye. Came out of that on fire and destroyed SF to win the division. At that point, the seeding wasn't set but it felt the worst of the season was over.. they had secured a playoff spot. Then we had the shoot out with the Rams, and a chance to see how they stack up against the leagues best team at the time… Detroit. Since then.. its been 3 weeks of playing out the string, trying not to get any significant injuries and not put anything more on tape. So, understandably, I think a lot of pundits are looking at the last month and seeing a different team than what they were back in November. But, if the Bills can turn it back on, ramp it up and get into the proper mindset. This game is not a concern. They just have to survive the 1st quarter. The Broncos are going to come out on fire to prove they belong. Nix will be slinging it and running… he hasn't been playing long enough to realize the magnitude of the game. If the Bills can get into gear, survive that initial surge of adrenaline by the Broncos, this game will settle into an easy win, I think. I don't see a blowout, but I see them in control of the game easily. Go Bills! 4 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted Monday at 06:41 PM Posted Monday at 06:41 PM (edited) The broncos are built kind of like the jags teams they struggled with the last couple years. Good wr, can run the ball with power and on the interior and have a mobile qb along with a good defense. I just can't shake the idea that Payton is going to come out in big sets and challenge Buffalo right away and see how physical they are and see if they stay in nickel. If the Bills can stop he may run the ball a ton and kill the bills with T.O.P. making each buffalo possession twice as important and making any mistakes or 3 and outs killers. on the flip side if buffalo stands up the running game and puts the game in nix's hands on third and long over and over in that environment there may be false starts, holds and some quick dumpoffs. Field Position, Playing with a lead and T.O.P. will be the key imo and it all starts with showing the broncos that they can handle the physicality up front in the running game. If Buffalo can't stop the run right up the gut in the A and B gap early we are going to be making diamonds out of coal. Edited Monday at 06:46 PM by MikePJ76 2 Quote

Think about the way this season ended It does feel like the Bills need a punch in the mouth sometimes before they get rolling. But yeah, they need to come out intense. I'm a bit worried about Denver's first possession. Nix is a very good dink and dunker. Nothing will sway momentum more than for Buffalo to come out passive on D and allow Denver to dink it and have a long possession drive down the field. They should do what Detroit did to Darnold last night. Just come after him on every play. Take the chance. Don't give the rookie time to dictate the drive. If rookie Bo Nix comes in here and takes out the Bills then some coach(es) better start emptying out their office. 4 Quote

Those were two of the three. The other was the Seahawks. Every other win came against a team under .500. But, playing the AFC South, AFC East and NFC West will do that. Quote

I would do this in a hotel room as I cant be seen in public while watching a game. Yeah, maybe. I'd rather not have to shut myself into a hotel room in the middle of a tropical afternoon if I can help it. But if there are no TVs at the bars, I may have no other choice. I know I know...vacation plus a Bills playoff game. First world problems. Woah is me! 1 Quote

EPA they’re ranked 15th, YPR is 4.1 which is bottom half of the league and even by volume - total yards rushing- they’re 16th. Defensively this isn’t a bad matchup for the Bills. 1 Quote
