I remember when McD benched Cook in-game early last season after a fumble  - it was becoming a habit.

He took all sorts of 'McClapper' abuse for that. "Great man management, dummy" etc.

Anyway, since that moment, Cook has fumbled just once (i think) and that was recovered by the Bills.

And Allen turned the ball over(fumble) on the first series of the season.

And that might have been the dumbest one of the year. After that I think two INTs bounced off receivers hands one was an arm punt... I don't remember any other "WTF Josh?" moments other than the opening day fumble which was totally on him. I think there was a bad read on a pick v Indy but the sort of thing every QB has from time to time.

Honestly this may be reaching but it looked like a guy playing with a clear mind compared to all the dumb mistakes late 23 and early 24 when he had off the field stuff going on.

The Bills finished with 8 total turnovers.

Very impressive statistical. It truly is an outlier in the history of the NFL.

Also probably less important that people think. In the modern NFL a punt is not much different than a turnover against the stronger teams.  NFL games are not nearly as much about field position as they were even 30 years ago.

The 15-1 Chiefs were 11th in turnover differential.

The Chiefs were #1 in points scored per drive minus pts allowed per drive.   Stops are not as dramatic as turnovers. But nearly as effective.

I may be beating a dead horse (or an injured one with a torn ACL), but I really feel that Josh not having to force a quota of targets every game to one guy was gloriously liberating.

What an incredible record.

It was interesting to hear broadcasters bring that up during the season without specifically naming Diggs.  Spiro brought it up again yesterday about not having to force feed passes to a demanding receiver.  Then he mentioned that they traded Diggs so viewers could connect the dots.

Thanks. I had the game in the background on a laptop so I didn't follow much of it and missed that.

So that means Allen had 8 times more turnovers than anyone on our team.

Technically infinity more turnovers since nobody else had one. 8 times more would be if someone else had 1.
