A coworker of mine just hopped on the lions bandwagon this year and decided he was gonna be a lions fan. It's so annoying. Routes for them like he's followed them since he was a kid. I'm like dude you've liked them for like 3 months

You work with Eminem?!?

Credit Detroits defense. They are not worried about giving up plays on the back end and are forcing Darnold to have to stand in there with guys in his face and make accurate throws.

So far detroit is winning the chess match.

For as much flak as Campbell got for his game management in the playoffs, Detroit is probably the best team in the league in terms of consistently good in game decisions.

No, 89 was way off to the right. Goff didn’t even throw it in his direction. It hit an offensive lineman in the back. But I don’t think it’s illegal touching because the guy didn’t try to catch it. Should have just been intentional grounding.

If that’s the case, then you’re definitely correct.  Grounding for sure.

Except that play call.

I love Detroit HC but going for it on 4th down all the time cost them last year. It’s going to cost them this year too.

“Going for it” wasn’t the problem there…

4th and inches pass… do they not have “sneak” in the play book?

He was wide open downfield.  If not for a great play by the D lineman, it’s a huge gain.

did it or did the pass on the play getting dropped kill the play?

Dan Campbell makes as many mistakes as Sean McDermott lol and people hate McDermott for his management

Campbell literally kicked in on side kick with 10 minutes left in an NFL game.. McDermott would be crucified

McDermott is easily a top 10 coach.  He is criminally underrated, and that is as true within his fan base as it is nationally.  Maybe moreso.

What is the success rate of a 4th and inches sneak? You risk those things happening when you throw the football when you only need to  literally fall forward
