Not only that, these clowns chose to pay a bad QB for a 4 year of 160,000,000, 40 mill per year, and then release him this year with 6 games to go.

 

I can't even imagine what this board would descend into if either of those things happened to the Buffalo Bills. The New York Giants are keeping both HC and GM. 

 

They were the guilty partites on Barkley. They were not the guilty parties on Jones. That decision came straight from the owner's office and the reason Mara is not firing them is he knows he sold them a pup. 

 

Pretty widely accepted amongst the New York media now that they were told the Jones extension was non-negotiable.

NY Jets, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints. All still open... can they all be awaiting the end of the playoffs?

I think this is reasonable. 
 

I also think it’s not something I personally worry about. There are a million things that can happen one way or another that makes or break a coach’s tenure. Until it’s actually happening and they are competitive, I see no reason to have any fear of potential. They did it with Saleh. They did it will McDaniel.

Raiders - Pierce says he hasn't heard anything and is planning for 2025
Jags - Fired Pederson, keeping Trent Baalke
Cowboys - have a negotiating window with McCarthy thru Jan 14th, but Bears have requested permission to interview him now

Colts - staying with Shane Steichen and GM Chris Ballard.  Fired DC Gus Bradley

Titans - no decision yet on Brian Callahan

Giants - staying with Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll
Bengals - staying with Zac Taylor, fired DC Lou Anarumo

It does make sense because the Patriots have a very attractive job waiting for one of the hot head coaching candidates, and the Giants don't. They are in purgatory with relatively limited cap space and no chance at one of the top QBs in the upcoming draft. Nobody wants that job.

 

Kraft clearly wants Vrabel and made the move now to make sure he gets him. It's a pretty unique situation. If Drake Maye looked like crap all year I bet Mayo would still be there, but a blooming franchise QB creates immediate urgency to find the right coach. It's gross to say but I respect Kraft for making the difficult but correct decision.

And Barkley wasn't going to be challenging the rushing record on this past years Giants team, so it's not like we'd be watching him rush for 2000 yards on the Giants instead of the Eagles.

That's actually a pretty classy move by Mara then. He's basically taking accountability for that.

My theory on the Jets search is that they are going to hire Rex Ryan but don't want it to seem like it was a done deal so they're "casting a wide net" and interviewing everyone and anyone. 

 

Their interview list is insane.

I think they want Vrabel. But don't expect to get him. I do think Rex is a real option for them though.
