In what reality does an HC/GM not sign their star RB and allow him to go to a division rival... then watch him rush for 2000 yards while carrying them into the playoffs? Then Not have the fan base go ballistic and scream for their firings?

 

Not only that, these clowns chose to pay a bad QB for a 4 year of 160,000,000, 40 mill per year, and then release him this year with 6 games to go.

 

I can't even imagine what this board would descend into if either of those things happened to the Buffalo Bills. The New York Giants are keeping both HC and GM.

Daboll also had success his first year and got Daniel Jones to have a decent year and got to the playoffs. That is the only reason he is still there. If he had missed the playoffs his first year as well, he most likely would have been axed today to

I have a crazy feeling Mike McDaniel is gone. He had so many bites at the apple with an explosive offense and above average defense. Misused Tua, overpaid him, and now the cracks are getting bigger as Tyreek wants out. Fumbled OBJ. Lost money and development time of DBs by buying in on Poyer. Gambled and lost on Christian Wilkins walking. Doubled down on cold weather bravado instead of actually prepping in it multiple times. Only real wins in FA being Jonnu Smith and Calais Campbell. 0-2 playoff record. Losing a sure division title last season down the stretch that was statistically improbable. 

 

I think he did an admirable job with the offense. He gave the Dolphins fanbase way more to cheer for than Flores. But there were probably too high of expectations from the beginning and it wouldn't shock me to see ownership move on from him.

The Dolphins announced last night both McDaniel and their GM will be back next season.

I hope not. I love his one trick "we have the fastest guys and nothing else" approach to offense as a Bills fan. 

 

He's one of the most overrated coaches in the NFL in my opinion.

Interesting in a ranking of NFL ownership, most of the "old NFL family" franchises are a hot mess.  Mark Davis, Mara's, Halas[McCaskey], Bidwells, Jerrah, Mike Brown.  Only "old line" teams highly regarded are the Rooneys and the Hunts.  Jury still out on the Lions as they have only been good for a couple of years. Kraft may be slipping with his recent coaching fiasco.

McCarthy cannot get fired, he is not under contract for next year.  If he doesn't reach an agreement with the Cowboys, he will be free to sign with another team. Word around the league is that McCarthy is the one who might be looking to leave while Jones wants him back.

Ross just released a statement last night that both he and Grier, the GM will be back next year.  So your crazy feeling is not going to come to fruition.

Very poor at getting them prepared and ready to p[lay at the start of the season.  Burrow is the worst week 1 QB in the history of the NFL, he has been absolutely abysmal many of those games. Team is constantly staring at a 1-3 or 0-4 hole after the first month.  That falls on coaching.

As was Tom Landry as player/DC for the World Champion New York football Giants prior to getting his only NFL HC job.
