Nihilarian Posted Sunday at 11:17 PM Posted Sunday at 11:17 PM New England fired Jerod Mayo right after the win against Buffalo 😄\ We know the NY Jets, Chicago Bears, NO Saints all fired their coaches. Raiders Jaguars Cowboys Colts Titans Giants May all follow...thoughts? Quote
GunnerBill Posted Sunday at 11:20 PM Posted Sunday at 11:20 PM (edited) Definitely Daboll and Pedersen. Looks like Cowboys might try and extend McCarthy. Pierce is a maybe. If there is a surprise out there.... watch McDaniel if Miami loses to the Jets tonight. Think everyone will stay in Tennessee. In Indy the GM is gonna carry the can but I expect Steichen to hang on. Breakout Squad Posted Sunday at 11:23 PM Posted Sunday at 11:23 PM Raiders and Colts. I think the Giants give Daboll another year. 2 Quote

I agree with McDaniel. If the current result holds, I think he's done. Quote

Sounds about right. McCarthy I think earned the extension with the injury issues. Had the team playing hard in the back half of the season. Of course, another team could enter the mix and swipe him as his contract is up and will be a FA. I do think Pierce will be back and they will move for a QB this year. My surprise may be Nick Sirianni if the Eagles go one and done. Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted Sunday at 11:28 PM Posted Sunday at 11:28 PM Raiders: I think they move on. Brady will have a big say in the new coach hire. He will want to make a splash. Imo he isn't qualified to make HC decisions. But whatever. Titans: HC stays Colts: HC stays and GM fired Giants: I think HC/GM stay Cowboys: McCarthy stays Quote
Malazan Posted Sunday at 11:29 PM Posted Sunday at 11:29 PM McDaniel is an outside shot, but I'm hoping. I'd love for all of the other AFC East teams to be looking for new HCs in the same offseason. 1 Quote

Big Turk Posted Sunday at 11:31 PM Posted Sunday at 11:31 PM Jags Giants Raiders Colts Technically the Cowboys aren't firing their coach since his contract is up, they would simply be not renewing it. 1 Quote

stuvian Posted Sunday at 11:34 PM Posted Sunday at 11:34 PM I think Daboll survives. Sticking with Jones was an ownership call 1 1 Quote
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted Sunday at 11:35 PM Posted Sunday at 11:35 PM My guess is fewer openings than most are saying especially with four teams already in the market. Jags Raiders Colts Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM Looks like Stefanski may keep his job in Cleveland. He protected ownership by continuing to say Watson starting was best chance to win. It cost him the locker room but kept his job. He's crazy to stay. Cleveland might actually be worse next year. Stefanski would be better off resigning and starting fresh somewhere else to get the stink of the Browns and Watson off. Quote

Just watching him now with his three layers of winter coat and red nose, I couldn’t be more certain that the Fins are never going to be a January team under his leadership. 1 Quote

I agree about mcdaniels. Fins currently crapping the bed to the jets mess. Pretty horrible fin season , but Tuas injury situation may spare mcdaniels. I don’t know what tuas contract situation is , but I just don’t see mcdaniels winning with him. He designed his offense around him , but he’s just not likely to be durable. Seems like a chicken / egg situation unless they can bring in a qb to compete w or adequately back up Tua. Really tho , mcdaniels was a good pr story overcoming substance abuse etc , quirky “ offensive guru” supposedly, but he lacks true football leadership qualities. Prob great coordinator, but I can’t see him as the face of culture or an organization. Glad bengals are out , but this is a confident coach / D/ scrambling yet proficient rookie qb coming in. I think Allen is our huge advantage but worry about mcds HC off being out coached at times , like last year by Peyton. At least it’s at home ; be interested in your thoughts about facing the broncos? Happy holidays , belated ! Quote
mikemac2001 Posted Sunday at 11:59 PM Posted Sunday at 11:59 PM So what is Tuas deal I saw hip injury but also he would play next week if they make it. Makes no sense if the games matter why would he be sitting Quote

They keep intimating he's not medically ready, but when the Dolphins media pressed them on if he was "medically cleared" they were cagey on the answer. Tua said it wasn't his decision to not play.
