It would have helped the Pats sure but they are still going to get a very good player at #4.  We can laugh all we want but they likely come back next year with Vrabel as the coach, a good young QB, and a more talented roster.

Their roster might be the least talented roster in the NFL.

They are going to need AT MINIMUM 3 years to get it to a point where they could even challenge the Bills for the division.

Essentially, the Bills are on cruise control in the division until at least 2027.

Just pencil them in as AFC East Champs, the rest of the division is a dumpster fire.

Kraft is looking more and more like a guy that made one good hire and had incredible luck with drafting Brady in the 6th round randomly than someone that knows what he is doing

And what's better is it likely saved Mayo's and their GM's job.

Well, turned out this Mayo has a one year expiration date.  Winning this game, by only a touchdown, against the Bills' backups, shockingly didn't save his job.

I vaguely remember some wise guy sportswriter at the time suggesting Mularkey was morphing into Hank Bullough.

Found it Like Yogi Berra, he unintentionally entertained fans and reporters with humorous malapropisms. He often praised his team’s “work ethnic” and talked about making decisions on the “spare of the moment.” After a loss to the New York Jets, he said a long pass play had taken “the sails right out of our wind.” That still ranks as his all-time best, and wound up being repeated in a post-game press conference years later by another beleaguered Bills head coach, Mike Mularkey.

Has anyone ever seen them in the same place at the same time?

Not in this draft it isn't factual

The difference between 4 and 1 is significant in any draft ever and i've been studying them pretty hard for 30 years even before Jimmy J's silly chart.    Heck the difference between 1 and 2 is big.

My guess is Mayo knew he was getting the Onion so he's probably laughing about winning the last game.    It will change the entire landscape of the league in the future, that single game.  So glad we handed them the game, it was like stealing picks from their draftboard and burning them.

The lead singer for my band is a huge Pats fan. Born and grew up in Boston. He said, "I can never root for my team to lose". I'd have to say he's in the minority.

Can he sing "Sweet Caroline"?

Remember…

Bills trades 9th, 2015 1st and 4th to Cleveland for 4th to pick Watkins

Yeh, but there was a good reason for that.  It gave EJ the weapon he needed for a Superbowl run, remember?

That was one of the weirdest games and strangest outcomes ever. Pats fans must have been screaming mad the entire 4Q. I hope Kraft doesn’t get lucky again on next HC pick.

All kidding aside, one has to wonder why the Pats could have allowed or even remotely wanted that outcome.

It could have possibly been Mayo knew he was out the door and wanted to give the Pats a giant **** you before he got canned......is my guess anyways.

Alright someone explain it to me-why are there so many comments of concern that the Pats might hire Vrabel as their new coach? Am I missing something?

He is a good coach. His teams, even when bad, were tough and physical. He went to the AFC Championship game with a mediocre Ryan Tannehill. The Pats have a young QB who looks like he will be better than Tannehill.

We as Bills fans don’t like good, tough, physical coaches leading our enemies.

Please someone set up an account and point out they rested Maye.

I'm hoping for a QB controversary.

Milton was dominating the Bills and outdueled Josh Allen!

Milton looked like a more polished version of Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen

Milton could throw a ball over them mountains

Mike Mularkey knew he was getting fired and told Rapaport he was getting an extension just to mess with ownership. I love pettiness sometimes

Maybe the players wanted their HC & staff fired, if so they got their wish .
