ColoradoBills Posted Sunday at 04:54 PM Posted Sunday at 04:54 PM There are still a good number of "meaningful" games to be played today. Teams still trying to get a playoff spot and seedings. 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted Sunday at 05:07 PM Posted Sunday at 05:07 PM Did u guys see the story that the vikings owner bought 2 million dollars worth of tickets for the game in detroit tonight and sold them to the vikings fans at a discount. Seems kind of odd. Why are lions ticket holders selling their tickets? I don't understand season ticket holders. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2025/01/05/vikings-spend-nearly-2m-to-buy-tickets-for-sundays-game-in-detroit/77470728007/ 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted Sunday at 05:26 PM Posted Sunday at 05:26 PM Jay Glazer just said the word around the league is that multiple teams are interested in trading for Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell. Apparently he has 1 year left on his deal and the team has not even approached him about an extension. This is odd? Are they going to trade him and promote Flores. This is a really wild rumor honestly. Why in the world would the vikings not rehire one of the best offensive coaches in the league? Doesn't make much sense. Maybe its his agent putting it out there today to pressure the vikings to give him a monster extension. 2 Quote

They don't care who buys them. Happens in Buffalo too. Go look at a map of the available tickets for the WC game. Entire rows up for resale. Quote

Buffalo will be just like every other city come 2026. 50% of the seats will be available every week because of people trying to recoup psl money. Its going to suck. Trey lance is starting today vs Washington and it sounds like this is an edict handed down from Jerry. Locally they are speculating that this proves McCarthy is out because he thinks lance is terrible and didn't want him on the roster. 1 Quote

Selling the tickets is a very common way of defraying some of the cost. I don't agree with the practice and I've said before that the secondary market should allow a season ticket holder to sell to a "verified fan" of the home team. Surprised/disappointed that this easy option is not yet available. Quote

Sierra Foothills Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM At the risk of violating the "no playoff talk" rule and angering the gods, it needs to be pointed out that none of the NFC teams know what their final playoff seeding is. That means that there are a lot of NFC games with "playoff relevance" as far as seedings go. Quote

But Schefter is reporting that teams are expected to call the Steelers about Tomlin and his potential availability as well. I think this speaks to how the current crops of prospective head coaches are seen in league circles. Aside from the Crown Jewel of the OC from Detroit, the lost isn't great....which is why I can see Joe Brady getting a lot of interest. But there's a whole different thread for that. And with Ben Johnson, only one team can get him...and he's spent the last two years pulling his name out of jobs. Some question as to if he even takes a HC gig this year. Florio said this morning that Ben Johnson is interested in the jags job and pederson is expected to be fired tomorrow. I guess the catch is that Johnson wants to bring his own GM with him and that means Trent Baalke has to get fired too. Seems like Aaron Glenn must be high on the list in New Orleans also. sidenote, who the hell would trade anything for Mike Tomlin? Take him away from the stability of that organization and he seems like a guy that would really struggle. He seems to have a hand in personnel and they miss on almost all their offensive players and the ones they hit on are mental cases. Its crazy that a team would trade anything for him imo. Quote
