beebe Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM (edited) he got saddled with a bottom 5 QB (in play, not talent) who the whole team probably hates, only to have him suffer a season ending injury and get replaced by the likes of jameis winston, DTR and bailey zappe. star RB also got hurt, and by season's end their leading rusher was d'onta foreman. oh, and they traded away their best receiver. surprised this didn't go well. The dude had everything in Buffalo and couldn't figure it out. As bad of a situation he had with the Browns, it's kinda hard to give him the benefit of the doubt 1 1 1 1 Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted Sunday at 02:02 PM Posted Sunday at 02:02 PM (edited) Per PFT: "It’s the second straight year in which the Browns have fired an offensive coordinator. After the 2023 season, Alex Van Pelt got the boot after a playoff appearance for the Browns. Head coach Kevin Stefanski, the 2023 coach of the year, earned his shot to be a head coach through his work as an offensive coordinator. The chronic failures of the offense, however, have not yet stuck to him. Dorsey had been fired by the Bills during the 2023 season. He was one of several offensive coordinators who crash-landed on their feet in 2024. Van Pelt became the offensive coordinator in New England. Luke Getsy, fired by the Bears, was hired by the Raiders. Shane Waldron, out with the Seahawks after Pete Carroll was fired, got the Bears job. All of them except Van Pelt already have been fired. And, based on the Patriots offensive performance this season, Van Pelt could make it a clean sweep." https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/browns-first-offensive-coordinator-ken-dorsey Edited Sunday at 02:03 PM by Sierra Foothills Quote

Mister Defense Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM Poor guy, another tough break for him. Soo dedicated, soo talented, yet not appreciated. After all of his hard work, dedication, diligent prep during the week for the game, and great play calling, he was fired by the Bills. Now this same work ethic and high level skills mean nothing, again, for dorsey. Just like in Buffalo, a scapegoat once again, like many on this board recognized after he was fired. It was McClappy that was, and is, the problem. If Brady gets a head coaching job of course the Bills should consider hiring dorsey for another round, to work his magic here again. 1 3 1 3 Quote
pigpen65 Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM Dorsey is an idiot who fell ass backwards into a promotion he had no business getting. 1 3 1 Quote
st pete gogolak Posted Sunday at 02:17 PM Posted Sunday at 02:17 PM If the Browns clean house, I’d love to bring Schwartz in as DC. What the team needs is a fresh take on defensive philosophy. It won’t happen, of course. McDermott won’t ever allow it. Schwartz probably wants nothing to do with a franchise that wanted Rex Ryan over him. 3 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted Sunday at 02:18 PM Posted Sunday at 02:18 PM Started to feel bad about the talent he was given then reminded myself he has enough money to say no to jobs. He should have said no and spent time figuring out why he failed in Buffalo. Instead he'll never get another OC job again. 2 Quote
buffblue Posted Sunday at 02:18 PM Posted Sunday at 02:18 PM Not a Dorsey fan at all but not sure what anyone could expect with the injuries and severe lack of game breaking talent he had to work with. Seems like a fall guy for Stefanski and Andrew Berry 2 Quote
