Currently watching a 59 minute YouTube video of Josh Allen career touchdowns. Jason Croom, John Brown, Lee Smith, Zay Jones, Duke Williams, Tyler Kroft….

Lets go get 14th receiver to catch a TD today from Allen and get Alec Anderson one….

FWIW according to Google AI, the Bills hold the record in a 14 game season with 13 different players. It doesn’t say what year that is though. Accounting for the longer season, that prorates to 15.79 different players over 17 games.

@Beck Water said it best: “I don't know if this would work for you, but for me, I honestly went into the season feeling this was a rebuilding year and while, with Allen, there is always a good chance, we just didn't have the "hosses" on Defense and at Offensive Skill Positions to make it work.  And the guys I felt the best about (Samuel, then Cooper) haven't been the major contributors I'd hoped.

I've been delighted to be wrong on the W/L record, but I'm trying to remember that I didn't go into the season saying "Superbowl, Baby!"

I went into the season saying "I hope we can be competitive in most games"

The 2024 exhilarating/nail-biting/frenetic/exasperating NFL regular season comes to a close today. This rare, unanticipated thrill ride crawls out quietly for us with bitter cold temps this afternoon in Foxborough MA. As with the Opener in early September, we’ll need a program to identify the players by the time the gun sounds. Does Mike White still wear #8 with a ‘Milano Was Here’ tattoo on his chest? Will Micah Hyde return for his Swan Song? Will Christian Wade finally carry the rock in a real game?? 🤣 All of this is meaningless for us of course, as the game will have zero impact on the forthcoming post season, where we take our 5th consecutive AFCE title and undefeated Home record into the carnage carnival known as The Superbowl Quest! Other game outcomes will decide who’ll be shuffling off to Buffalo next week for our Super Wildcard Weekend opponent.

Congratulations to the 10 Bills selected to the Pro Bowl -Gilliam, Kincaid, Oliver, S. Brown, Bernard, Hamlin, McGovern & Cook, with Allen & Dawkins named as starters.

Since detailing what NE* and the Bills do and don’t do well is irrelevant today, let’s evolve the discussion to our noteworthy ‘24 Rookie class & 1st year players, where 4+ players started games.

Drafted 2nd Round, WR Keon Coleman. Made an immediate impression regarding his charismatic character, sensational body control with great skills, humorous and yes, late for meetings.. Missed 4 games from a cheap shot by Jordan Poyer but he’s entrenched as a starter with amazing catch radius and strong if sometimes lackadaisical hands.

Drafted 3rd Round, Safety Cole Bishop. Injured in training camp, took a long time to break the lineup. But he’s here now and not likely to be supplanted as a starter going forward. Very smart, quick learner, strong against the run and brings POP to tackling.

Drafted 4th Round, RB Ray Davis. Tough, fast runner with great vision and very good hands. Remarkable upbringing brings exceptional character and he has shined brightly at times this season.

Drafted 5th Round, DE Javon Solomon. Great 1st step, fast, strong hand fighter and a nose for the ball.

Undrafted local boy from UB, LB Joe Andreessen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Shone bright in training camp beyond expectations. High motor with good tackling skills. Made the roster as a WALK ON! STARTED 2 GAMES, named Captain!

Every Drafted Bill made the team in some capacity, including 7th Round pick International Gateway candidate OT Travis Clayton, a monster 6’7”, 301 pound wall! Then we raided rookie CB/KR Brandon Codrington from Miami’s Practice Squad to round out the rookie haul.

We have no idea what will happen in the playoffs but we have the opportunity to play 2 games at home where we’re undefeated this year! We’ve tied our very best record in season wins with the final game still to play, while enjoying a thrilling season NO ONE saw coming as we stared wide eyed & mouths agape at the otherworldly weekly performance of our/THEE MVP, Quarterback Josh Allen!

We’ve played in 4 Super Bowls, all with disappointing verdicts. With my personal doom shield firmly in place, there’s no expectation of this changing any time soon. But we’ve been granted a helluva chance to change this narrative in the next month, nonetheless! The AFC playoff teams represent a true gauntlet -where the Super Bowl may well be the easiest task!

So cancel that January cruise, reposition the living room furniture and place your favorite chair directly in front of the big screen with tables set up on both sides for food, drink and remotes. Or, for you lucky bastards, attend the games in person!

Say it with me:

WE GOT THIS!

GO BILLS!

Congratulations to our Pro Bowl selections and Alternates!

Thanks for another great pregame write-up. I've come to enjoy these as much as Shaws post game pieces. Great work!

Expect an empty Gillette Stadium today. I thought about going but even though the stadium is less than two hours from me it's an all day commitment when you consider traffic going in and out. (There's only one road, Route 1, and you either go north or south.)

Just a few more yards to reach 1000 and 15 TDs isn’t enough to warrant a Pro Bowl invite?😳

He could easily have another 6-8 touchdowns if it weren't for his freak show quarterback who can score at will from inside the five yard line.

Allen shouldn't be playing today and if he does anything but handoff on 1st play then go to the bench it is ridiculous.

Would love to see the 14th to Dawkins, as he is within two for the career TD catch record for O-Linemen

One series is fine. You want Josh to feel the game a little this week so he's not ice cold next week.

Think it would be 2020. Which also happens to be the last year Allen caught a regular season TD pass (against Arizona). Makes sense that the record would be set in a year the QB accounts for a receiving TD.

I think you misunderstood my post. The last 14 game season was in 1977.
