If they have to move Chiefs-Broncos to Monday, wouldn't put it past the league to shift Broncos vs Playoff opponent to MNF Wild Card round.

And yes, that potential opponent could be the Bills.

And if the Bills beat the Broncos in a Monday Night game, they’d have a short week of preparation and recovery for the divisional round.

All they have to do is get Collinsworth to spew on the plane. That'll melt the ice.

He could be helpful and keep king mahomes jock warm?

When they hoist the Lombardi they're going to put this as one of the struggles the Chiefs had this season that they had to overcome.

Godspeed thoughts and prayers.

They are not going to hoist...The Bills will be the one in New Orleans.

I am a bit surprised that the Chiefs didn't advance their departure time and get out of there earlier this morning, though.  Anyway, per multiple sources the plane has departed and is enroute to Denver.

It seems the plane coming to get them was late.  Maybe the pilot is a Broncos fan?

Fair, they planned and their plans fell through.  When it comes to commercial planes under IFR, air traffic control and company ground ops have more influence really.

I hope they made it ok

I hope the toilets overflowed and Chris Collinsworth had the PA on the plane to sing Christmas Carols.

I figured they chartered, in which case it's odd they had to wait on an inbound plane.

Ah.  We had this discussion back when the Bills were flying to London.   Apparently most of the teams charter a plane, but the plane they charter is through a commercial carrier and is not dedicated to the team.  At least that seemed to be the most reliable info that came up in that thread.

true, but it's not a typical plane layout.  it's not like that type of plane is flying another team somewhere earlier that day.

I think more teams are chartering through companies like Eastern and Atlas now.

edit:  KC Star reporting the charter had mechanical issues.
