Steptide Posted Friday at 08:29 PM Posted Friday at 08:29 PM They must really love him. Seems like alot of hassle so he can play in a meaningless game Quote

folz Posted Friday at 08:45 PM Posted Friday at 08:45 PM Could it just be that they want to make sure that Trubisky is healthy for the playoff run too? Give Josh one series to keep his consecutive streak alive. Play Mitch for a couple of series (or to halftime) for a little warm-up. Then get him out (avoid injury) and play Mike white the rest of the way. Plus, McD did say they want to see what they have in some of their younger/PS players. Maybe they want to see more of Mike running their offense, just to know what he's capable of here (though they did already give him an extension, so they must like something that he's bringing to the table). I think Sunday will play out kinda like you described. Josh very briefly. Mitch til half, maybe a series or two coming out of the half then White the rest of the way. I also think Mitch and White will be in a QB battle for 1 spot next off season. Winner is the backup, loser is cut/traded. I think Buffalo grabs a different (younger) QB for the practice squad. 2 Quote

L Ron Burgundy Posted Friday at 09:00 PM Posted Friday at 09:00 PM I feel like I'd take White over Trubisky. Watched Mitch with Pitt and it was truly terrible. White had some moments with the Jets. Not all good mind you. 1 Quote

Either Trubisky or White can be released in 2025 with no consequence. I doubt that it means much, why upset a well-functioning QB room right before the playoffs by telling Trubisky he is on the way out? That would be bad karma. I missed watching the Ravens beat-down where he played the most, but it was noticable that even when Bernard went down again for a game and Spector was injured, the Bills didn't put him on the field again. And he's been waived and cut twice. Which sort of speaks to your point. It sort of reminds me of last year's path for AJ Klein, and we all know Klein wound up playing most of the WC round and starting at MLB in the division round - and that didn't go to well. The thing is, with Bernard nursing a couple injuries at this point (ankle and now quad) and Spector on IR and unavailable, it would be kind of nice to have SOME option beyond Ulofoshio Quote

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted Friday at 10:25 PM Posted Friday at 10:25 PM Way to get around having him be available to play this Sunday as likely wouldn't have called him up from PS Quote
PoundingDog Posted Friday at 10:28 PM Posted Friday at 10:28 PM Trubisky is terrible. Even in the pre-season game in Pittsburgh. White is going to be cheaper and equally capable as Mitch. 1 1 Quote
K D Posted Friday at 10:32 PM Posted Friday at 10:32 PM Josh going Hollywood and signing with the Rams this off-season. His new wife said it's too cold in Buffalo. Mitch and Mike White battle in camp for starting gig. 8-9 for the next 20 years of my life Quote
