If there is no signing bonus and not guaranteed then it doesn't hurt your cap if they cut him next camp. Just keeps him in the fold until next year. Probably much cheaper option than Trubisky if they do keep him.

Just means he isn't a free agent.  Nothing screams guarantees in 2025.  It's probably also pretty cheap.

I think it's a good move.  Trubisky will be gone next year, and they roll with Josh, White and Buechele (on the PS).

Honestly, from what I have seen of their careers, I like Mike White better than Trubisky anyway. I don't recall seeing him play for the Dolphins but every time I watched him with the Jets he was actually pretty decent. While Trubisky has been bad more often than good. And often his "good" is mediocre

I expect alot of White.  Allen quick hook for Trubisky than when most of the ones are out White will come in for the better part of 3 quarters to a half.

The guy is tough as nails if nothing else.

 

Trubisky has never impressed me in the preseason and in mop-up duty.  I'd be curious to see how White does if he plays on Sunday.
