Gregg Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Zack Rosenblatt on X: "The #Jets will interview Mike Vrabel at the facility today. Over the last five months, I spent extensive time with Vrabel as he worked for the Browns. He reflected on his Titans tenure — and opened up about what he wants next. Einstein Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I’d very much prefer they don’t hire him. Every coach had faults and he is not immune to that, but his teams were always physical and played hard. 15 27 2 Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Agreed. He is one of the few coaches that I do not want them to hire. 2 Quote
DapperCam Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I think he’s a good coach and Tennessee were dumb to fire him. 1 14 1 Quote

I don't have confidence that Woody Johnson will make a solid choice. Honestly, I'm betting before it's all said and done, Jon Gruden is the hire. Woody likes splashy names. 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) Vrabel would be nuts to accept that job. Its not set up well at all with a terrible owner. I would think he would have other options that would be more appealing (and in divisions without Josh Allen) Edited January 3 by May Day 10 1 3 Quote
Big Turk Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Who really wants that job? I mean Vrabel could be a good hire, but how likely is he to succeed with that ownership in place and how much he meddles in things? 3 Quote

He has struggled to get his team over the top...Always solid and very good in the regular season...they could beat any team..but then always choked in the playoffs (2-3 record) 1 2 1 Quote

machine gun kelly Posted January 3 Posted January 3 He’s actually a good coach, and had a bad GM. He also restores order and discipline and that is sorely needed in NJ. He’ll have to contend with a meddling goofball for an owner. Quote

Belichick loathes the NYJ organization. Hopefully he gets in Vrabel's ear about that and dissuades him from going there. Edited January 3 by T.E. 1 1 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) He would never be able to work under woody or coach rodgers. I think he’s interviewing there so his agent can float these reports and get him interviewed quickly next week by a team he actually wants. This is the worst job out there and everyone knows it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up with the Raiders. Edited January 3 by YoloinOhio 4 4 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Jon Gruden is also a serious candidate for the Jets and multiple teams. He’s gonna be back this year or next. 1 Quote
