He thinks Mahomes should get in on legacy and then the other two spots should be for individual performance that season.  That's passer rating you gave and not QBR.  Lamar (78.0), Allen (76.7), and Burrow (76.7) are all head of Mahomes (68.5) in QBR.

Deserving Bills like James Cook and Christian Benford didn't make it, because nobody really talks about them during our games.

 

I'm also shocked that Patrick Mahomes didn't make it.  Not because he deserved to make it over the other guys.  Just that he's clearly pushed as the face of the NFL, and even people who watch football once per year know who he is.  

 

I would almost think there was some backlash of fans tired of the Chiefs, but then I saw that Travis Kelce made it.

Actually, Cook and Benford get talked about quite a bit on the broadcast I find. It's that it doesn't translate over to the talking heads during the week. That's who does the majority of the thinking for a lot of fans. Mixon was talked about a lot. He made it. Cook was glossed over because of how great Allen.
