The Pro Bowl team should SOLIDIFY Josh Allen as MVP. There are MULTIPLE Ravens (offensive) players selected as opposed to only Dion Dawkins for the Bills

Eh. The pro bowl is kinda a joke. I think our o line is just as good as the Ravens; cook should have made it, and Flowers shouldn’t be a pro bowler. Allen is going to win MVP but pro bowl doesn’t mean a thing.

The way the voting works I'm guessing Allen doesn't get in.  Players and coaches will pry give the nod to Lamar, Mahomes, and Burrow because it's always been a popularity contest.  There's other elements involved that tip the scales in those three players favor that I won't get into.  I remember Reuben Brown making it every year even though he didn't deserve it some years.  Mahomes will get in for the same reason.

I'm going to predict that only Dion Dawkins is selected.  Cook is pry around 40% as he'll pry come down to him, Mixon, or Chase Brown for that third spot with Taylor and Henry as locks.  His lead leaguing 15 TD's may get him in.  You could make a great case for Christian Benford but he pry doesn't have enough name recognition.

how are Jackson and Burrow more "popular" than Josh right now?

Buffalo fans have this victim complex. Josh Allen is all over commercials, has a Hollywood fiancé, and is one of the most popular athletes in America.

exactly--he is being hyped on every pre and post game show as well as every show during the week.  gotta be the most "popular" QB in the league right now--he's must see viewing.  Burrow isn't a Superman type that people want to watch who otherwise wouldn't watch his whiny azz and that mediocre squad.

It kinda sucks Dawkins isn't getting more love...Allen has been sacked a total of 14 times, and while a lot of that is on Allen avoiding them, the protection has been fantastic and the run game has been mostly very good.

Dion is a pro bowler again. He gets some love.

Sorry...I meant All-Pro...which I know isn't decided til after the season but I highly doubt he gets any love there.

A couple other posters already mentioned it but I just wanted to say... this will solidify Josh's mvp. Baltimore has 8 pro bowlers while the Bills have 2. The bills record is significantly better than the Ravens. And the Bills have beat the 2 best teams in the league, recently.

A couple people with insider knowledge and an mvp vote, have already hinted at the fact that the race isn't all that close. That's not to say lamar won't get some votes but I think this race is not nearly as close as a lot of people think.

If anything, he may be overhyped in some quarters leading to a reaction against him.

I kind of lean this way as well.  ESPN has been beating the drum incessantly for Lamar in an effort to create a media narrative.  As a result it will probably be closer than it should be, but most sane people agree that this is Josh's year, and the Pro Bowl balloting (where Josh finished 4th or 5th in fan voting but ended up being named the AFC starter on the strength of writers' and coaches' votes) seems to bear that out.

If I understand correctly, fans, coaches, and players each count 33.3% in the selection process.

It's a fun way to do it but not guaranteed to get accurate results.

I don't trust any of these groups completely and I certainly don't trust us - the fans.  There are a lot of knowledgeable fans whom I respect on OBD.  But a lot of fan voters are relatively unsophisticated - teens and pre-teens who vote numerous times basing their choices on their favorite team, who they see on TV, and who the announcers talk up.

Even here on OBD, a lot of us aren't expert, for example, at the nuances of offensive line play.  How can we accurately distinguish the #1 guy from the #10 guy?  As far as that goes, I don't even trust the Seattle's punter to accurate assess the players on the Bills offensive line.  Yet he gets a vote, too.

I'd rather see a vote from head coaches, offensive and defensive coordinators, and pro personnel directors (not draft guys).

Well, if it is anything like the anonymous NFL Exec poll where Allen has 22 of the 27 votes, it won't be.

The Chiefs OL has three pro bowlers...T, C, G

Jackson has 39 td to 4 int, 4,000 passing yards, 121.6 qb rating l, 852 yards rushing, and 4 tds. He’s having a historically great season.

can we stop pretending like it’s some crazy conspiracy that some media is “hyping” up Jackson unfairly? Allen or Jackson are both more than worthy of being MVP.

Seeing the Ravens get 9 Pro Bowlers (League High) and Bills get 2 must be making Ravens fans heads spin.

How will they justify this as a reason Lamar is so much better than Allen, despite the worse record?

I take it you don't believe the media is capable of bias, good for you. I do think they are and do.
