Barnwell is not an actual AP voter, however, so it doesn’t matter. But he’s at least a very knowledgeable observer. He already hit the first 2 levels, level 3 would have been making the Pro Bowl.

It is so dumb that a Pro Bowl would be included in anything like that. It’s been detached from actual on-field performance for a long time.

Agree, but it's an NFL recognized event so they want to at least make it seem like it's important

Dalvin has been tweeting about James getting paid a lot. Hopefully we don't have a hold out coming this offseason.

Cook should have got in. That's a snub. Benford as well, but he doesn't have the INTs to get votes, so that is understandable.

 

Spencer Brown should be in there, but oline is always a bit random.

 

I don't think anyone else deserves it. We have a roster of solid starters and good depth, but not much elite talent.

That is a really strange tweet unless Dalvin knows about an extension that is in the works. James is under contract for one more season on his rookie deal.

 

Personally I would let Cook walk at the end of his rookie deal and focus on other players that need deals, but I won’t be upset if they opt to keep him either. He is our first “home run hitter” in a long time. Maybe since Lee Evans or CJ Spiller.

Mixon over Cook makes no sense other than name recognition, but it’s the Pro Bowl nothing new.

I think we have to give him a second contract...he is becoming a very important piece to this offense and the RB room is essentially perfect in terms of different skill sets that each of them have.

I'd vote for Brown over Lane Johnson. I mean I don't think Johnson is a ludicrous pick or anything but if I was voting my tackles would be:

 

Left tackles: 1st Jordan Mailata; 2nd Tristan Wirfs

 

Right tackles: 1st Penei Sewell; 2nd Spencer Brown.

 

Brown might not get in. He doesn't have the name value of Johnson. But I think he will get votes.

 

The only other Bills I expect to get votes (other than Josh obviously who will be a 1st team all pro) are Benford and possibly Rousseau and I don't think either will get enough to get into the teams.

I really hope the Bills can sign him up to a nice deal. He has really taken the pressure off of Allen and gives the Bills 2 elite level playmakers on offense. 981 yards rushing with 15 TD's along with 258 yards receiving and 2 TD's.

It kinda sucks Dawkins isn't getting more love...Allen has been sacked a total of 14 times, and while a lot of that is on Allen avoiding them, the protection has been fantastic and the run game has been mostly very good.

Oh Ya and it's not just the Bills.  Crazy to have Patrick Ricard at fullback - he plays like 40% of the snaps - #5 in the pro bowl voting behind Carson Steele of the Chiefs (16% snaps) and Alex Ingold of the Dolphins (34% of the snaps).   The Ravens have the #2 rushing game in the league, and clearly Ricard is a big part of that.  The Dolphins have the 24th run game in the league and the Chiefs 16th.  It's like bandwagon fans and "Oh, he's on my team, must be great!"

IDK why you guys care about the popularity contest like the players top 100.

 

The important ones are the 1st team all pro, 2nd team, MVP, and the ROY awards, And even offensive and defensive player of the year awards.  

Those matter and mean something.

 

If Allen doesn’t get the pro bowl, that should tell you everything.

ya agreed, maybe Taron if they had a nickel spot..

 

But hey , 2 most sought after positions- QB and LT both got in first place so that's huge, Dion has been dominant
