He makes plays is my impression. NOT a liability clearly an asset to our team I want to see him develop and flourish right where he started HERE its a great story. 4 Quote
I'm Spartacus Posted Thursday at 03:02 PM Posted Thursday at 03:02 PM Buffalo Joe is 6'1", and 231 lbs. Would like to see him beef up to 240+ to improve our run defense stoutness. 1 Quote

DCofNC Posted Thursday at 03:18 PM Posted Thursday at 03:18 PM For me, I’d rest absolutely every starter I can. No injuries is key, especially the OL. I’d put the starting OL in then box with Brady so there’s no possibility of roll ups 😂. Young guys, for the O, I want to see Davidson, but I’m not clear if he has any call ups left. Ray Davis, and whatever they can scratch together to keep the top 4 WR off the field. Defense is where it’s interesting, let’s seen Bishop, Buffalo Joe, Cine, and more Cam Lewis out there. Oh and just turn Solomon loose every play to go get the QB. 1 Quote
BuffaloBill Posted Thursday at 03:19 PM Posted Thursday at 03:19 PM This plus Bishop continuing to get game minutes and experience. Bishop and Rapp are most likely starters next year. I halfway think Hyde was broiught back one, to possibly get a ring and two, to be player / coach for Bishop. Quote

I suspect the strength and conditioning folks got rid of some weight through diet and programs, but a 240 pound LB who can run is a rare asset to have. Quote
Magox Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM Sedrick Van Pran Granger Van Denmark Grable if possible Buffalo Joe Tyrell Shavers Cline Bishop (I just think the more reps he gets the better) Milano (He needs more reps) Frank Gore Jr. Trubisky (He needs to get some passing reps) Zach Davidson (He's an intriguing prospect, would like to see Dalton sit) Ulofoshio 3 Quote
LEBills Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM Honestly I’m excited to watch all the young guys play, feels kinda like preseason. Javon Soloman though is #1 for me. Haven’t been able to focus on his limited snaps over the past weeks. Against a bad Pats OL I think he could have great day. 2 Quote

Which younger player are you looking forward to getting extended playing time this week?? Van Pran Granger, Gourage, Gore Jr. , White, Hyde, Hamler . Quote

T.E. Posted Thursday at 03:53 PM Posted Thursday at 03:53 PM Looking forward to seeing how Trubisky plays. If your backup is playing the worst team in the league, he should be able to get the W. If he looks lost out there, it's time to get a new backup. Quote

McDermott has flat out said Hyde will not be called up for this game "you can see him on the sideline". Your wish for Van Pran Granger is likely to be satisfied, but I didn't get the impression that McDermott intends to expose 2 practice squad players to waivers. So the PS callups may be limited to 2 guys who can automatically revert. Edited Thursday at 03:57 PM by Beck Water 2 1 Quote

Pete Posted Thursday at 04:27 PM Posted Thursday at 04:27 PM Javon Solomon! May he have 3 sacks against Maye! 2 Quote
Doc Posted Thursday at 04:32 PM Posted Thursday at 04:32 PM I want to see Buffalo Joe, Grable and SVPG. I'm not sure who's getting called up from the PS but I'd expect/like to see Shavers, Gore and Hardy. Quote
stlbills13 Posted Thursday at 04:40 PM Posted Thursday at 04:40 PM Ulofoshio is one for me. Even in case of a dire emergency I don't think he'll have a role this season but he's a long term guy I'm interested in. Grable is another for me. They clearly like him a lot. SVGP of course but I'm not sure they'd even turn to him if McGovern went down this season. From guys who might actually be counted on in case of emergency (injuries) in the playoffs. Definitely more Bishop and I'd like to see Elam back there again. And then Solomon who I believe can still be a situational pass rusher if everyone else is running in sand in the playoffs (which seems to happen too often). Quote

Which younger player are you looking forward to getting extended playing time this week?? I'm in no hurry to move McGovern to another position. He's played really well this year, and has been an upgrade over morse in both skill and availability. If LG becomes an opening i assume they want to give anderson the first crack at it, maybe add a rookie - and then you have 2 depth swing tackles who would probably be open to a position switch for playing time. 34 minutes ago, Pete said: Javon Solomon! May he have 3 sacks against Maye! Agreed. If he can become an impact player on his rookie deal it makes the need to spend/draft DE a lot less of a massive priority. Figure Miller and Smoot are gone - AJE makes plays but he hasn't improved as an edge setter on early downs. I think they could probably do to upgrade interior as well. DQ hasn't played well this year, and no one behind him at 1T has been particularly impressive. 1 Quote

Would like to see him beef up to 240+ to improve our run defense stoutness. Please do a little research. The top paid ILBs: Roquan Smith 6'1" listed at 230, may play at 236 [2025 pro bowl] Fred Warner 6'3" listed at 230, may play at 229 [2025 pro bowl] I'll skip Tremaine Edmunds Patrick Queen 6'0" listed at 232 may play at 230 Bobby Okereke 6'2" 235 (drafted at 239 I think) Aziz Al-Shaiir 6'2" listed at 232, may play at 227 Additional Pro Bowl: Zaire Franklin 6'0" 235 Zack Baun 6'3" 225 Let's start by you explaining why a guy who has played at a 231 frame would improve in any regard by bulking up 9 lbs? Maybe a couple pounds. Our own Terrel Bernard, listed at 224, talked about coming into the season at 227 and he would "see how he felt". But 9 lbs is a huge body composition change for an elite athlete I think there's an outdated vision of linebackers that's out of sync with the size/weight of today's top guys. 22 minutes ago, Pete said: I expect Gore to have a great game.
