SectionC3 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Second hand, but from someone who would know (and obviously subject to change). Plan on Sunday at 1p if it's not the Bengals. 3 3 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Oh c'mon this is worse speculation than the guy who started the thread about how we're going to be getting cold weather for Wild Card weekend 1 9 Quote
Dillenger4 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I heard that on TV yesterday. They were discussing the game time slots and because we have some Saturday games with Balt, Pitt, Cincy... they will get the later games if possible. So we will be at 1:00 1 Quote
Billsfed1 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 1pm makes sense, probably a blowout at home. Week after it gets interesting. 1 1 Quote
boco357 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 You know Houston is going 4p Saturday 7 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 makes sense. Would be good for me too, as I have to work on Saturday evening (would still be able to watch the majority of the game thankfully, but my attention would be divided) Quote

(And I thought through where other games would fall.) That's why I posted it. I was very surprised to hear of the 1p projection. 8 minutes ago, boco357 said: You know Houston is going 4p Saturday Agreed. And I had Tampa/Atlanta pegged for 1p Sunday. Quote

Yeah I was just clowning around, not trying to give you a hard time. I agree that I would have expected us to play on Saturday(probably afternoon though, not at night) Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I'll prefer an 8pm game because I'll be traveling at the start of a 4pm game. And definitely no 1pm games on either day please as I'll be at a swim meet both days. Wasn't our last 8pm wild card game the perfect game against the Pats? Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 That makes sense to me. While this game has star power in Josh Allen, it doesn’t have many other “stories” (unless it’s the Bengals). The Broncos are just kind of there and the Bills/Dolphins “rivalry” doesn’t captivate the nation. I was hoping for Saturday afternoon instead, but Sunday at 1 works for me. 2 1 Quote

Historically a 4 v 5 game goes on MNF, to make rest of bracket easier to schedule in divisional round, so Tampa/Det or Min loser would go there Quote
No_Matter_What Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) Agreed, makes a lot of sense. If it is Denver or Miami it won't be attractive for more prominent times, so it will be first game either on Saturday or on Sunday. And Houston sucks no matter what so Sunday 1 pm it is! Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Do Saturday and Sunday both have 8pm games? I know Sunday does since it has three games. But don't recall if Saturday is sometimes 1pm and 4pm with no 8pm game. Quote
Justin C Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I thought maybe if we play a west coast team it might be 4 but 1 works. Have to assume Monday night is the loser of Vikings/Lions against the NFC South winner. 1 Quote

Typical Goodell move - no fans want it, it disrupts the competitive balance by making the winner play the next week with less rest, but at least it's good for ratings! 3 Quote
mushypeaches Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I think that Sunday makes the most sense too. Especially since Miami & Denver are playing in the late window this coming Sunday Quote
Big Turk Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Unless it's the Bengals, I would expect a pretty comfortable win Quote
