Logically, losing on Sunday makes way more sense.

I don’t know about that.   There’s 4 teams that will be drafting high that we know have no plan in place for a QB - TEN, NYG, LVR, NO.  Maybe even CLE and NYJ.  
 

So if NE is #1 and you have teams like CLE, TEN and NYG underneath that pick becomes in demand.  
 

I just think of a team like NYG.  If Daboll and Schoen are both back, this QB will decide their future.  I can totally see them making a move for #1 - which made the win Sunday even more pointless.

This is where I land too, I add up division win/loss records over time and while it is kind of meaningless, it matters.  I believe they will be 21-3 in the division over the last 4 years if they win.

Last time Patriots took WR 1st overall they got Irving Fryer.

Some part of me hates to see the Pats beat us regardless of context but I ultimately picked don’t care.  Even one starter getting banged up isn’t worth it.

Like if you look up the Dolphins/Bills all time record now it is just about even with Buffalos success against them the last couple years.

 

Will be a thing when the Bills get over .500 in that all time rivalry.  Ditto now playing ketchup on the Patriots.  Might take still a while longer though

Without question, win.  Can't worry what other teams will or will not do.  Bunch of guys likely playing for incentives on their contracts.  Let them get em

I’m not the “win no matter what” guy. Because look what the giants just did. The players felt good for a minute and the franchise potentially stalled for 2-3 years longer by fumbling the #1 pick. 
 

The pats getting the #1 overall pick is not insignificant, no matter how bad they are now. We want them to be laughable for a long time. And getting the 1 or trading it for a ton of draft picks is not something I want to see.

Absolutely I want them to win.  Of course don't put starters at risk to get the win but keeping NE from the #1 draft spot is hardly a reason not to want the Bills to get a record number of wins in a regular season.

I only answered yes, as I think the problem is mitigated with safety by resting at least 11 of the 22 starters.  If it’s an either/or then safety.  I could care less if the Cheats get the #1 pick, as they alepready have Maye so they’ll bundle that pick for multiple picks which is what they need.  The difference is I have zero confidence in Mayo as a coach.

1. Game is totally meaningless. If the league would allow it, we should take a kneel on every offensive play. Most important is no injuries

 

2. Definitely huge difference for Patriots w/ overall #1 pick vs 3 to 5. No great QB's this year, but they would still will get a few extra high draft picks

 

3. Hopefully, we are in the Super Bowl so would not matter, but, if not, a loss could help our draft position by a few slots

I don’t want to see the Bills lose… that being said, if they could call up the whole practice squad and sign some guys off the street to 1 day contracts while bubble wrapping the starters and any important backups I wouldn’t be upset. 🤷‍♂️
