Just read this weeks NFL ranking in the Athletic and they have the Bills first with Vikes @2, KC-3 and Lions 4.  All 3 teams behind Bills have better records!!   Deserved  or not, don't see that very often. That has got to annoy some fan bases.  If it was the opposite way with Bills, people here would be going nuts!

Special K, you’re problem is you’re watching talking click bait heads on ESPN, FS1, NBC Sports, etc.  Who cares what morons like Stephen A. Smith as one example.

 

These buttheads on purpose will not credit the Bills as they know we have one if the stronger fanbase and people go insane.  IDC.  I’ll add beating the other SB attendee in the same few weeks span and not convinced we have the best team in the NFL possibly up there with Philly.  The injuries is overwhelming to the Lions, and the Chiefs have lucked into how many wins.

 

The easiest answer is when we beat the Broncos, Ravens, and Chiefs in the AFC hunt, we’ll see if we face MN, Detroit, or Philly as MN has been strong in just about every facet of the game.

 

I feel we can definitely get to the SB this year, but winning will be a challenge.  All three likely opponents won’t make it easy.

That’s why power rankings are meaningless. They’re just a tool to get fans to click on their sites.

That's 130 point in 4 games.  Bills gave up 121 over the same stretch.

These rankings don't mean much for the top 4-5 teams; any of them can come out on top of the other in a single 60 min game.   

 

Unfortunately in the media driven world, unless you win the season-ending tournament, the regular season doesn't mean much.

Of course, the Bills did defeat KC and the Lions head to head, so that justifies the ranking more than a random loss here or there. Some may feel differently. I’d put the Bills at 2 behind KC ( they’re the world champions until they aren’t ) maybe even 3.

I had been thinking that the top three were a rock, paper, scissors situation (Buff>KC>Bal>Buff) but I'd currently give the edge to Bills over either at the moment (saying this as a Baltimore native, Ravens fan). That recent home loss to the Eagles really brought us back to reality.

If nothing else this opportunity has made Darnold a lot of money going forward ! The Vikings might be foolish to not resign him and allow him to be their guy because he's still young & hasn't had as much of a beating being "mostly" a back up until this year .

 

Darnold might be the first QB from USC since Palmer that could have a decent career, most QB's from USC don't have long successful careers and it looks as if the Bears QB might be in that category too if they don't get him a better coach .

The Vikings definitely are in a good place they can keep their new rookie on his current contract kind of like Green Bay did with Love and allow Darnold to play or trade the rookie to say Carolina or the likes of another team in need for more draft capital .

 

Either way they go i think it's a win win for the Vikings !

I am not so sure the Lions are the best team in the NFC. One could make the argument for the Eagles, Packers, and Vikings. In the AFC it's 3 teams (Chiefs, Bills, Ravens) as I don't see anyone else having a shot to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. If Lions don't get some of the injured players back on the defense, they won't be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl as well.
