Shouldn’t this be a great result with everyone’s constant panic about the bengals around here?

Yeah but they look good and will have nothing to lose, homefield advantage tho!

KC looks so disinterested in this game.

Weird that they are taking 2 weeks off with the bye next week. I guess if any team doesn't need to worry about having too much time off it is KC with their recent playoff success.

It IS... Joe Burrow could have thrown us literally out of the playoffs, but now of course the rook Nix has to come to Orchard Park. That's CLEARLY a better scenario.

If we can't beat the Broncos at home in the playoffs then we absolutely suck, so yeah, Burrow can go off to Belize and bring on the Broncos.

It is a great result.  They have a good squad but we’re talking about a rookie going on the road to hostile Buffalo in January for a playoff game.  It’s 10 times better than facing Burrow.

Cincy’ D stinks tho.  Josh would be able to score at will against them.   Denver has an elite D.  If they get up early and get their run game going it will be bad news for us .

We’ll play who we play.

But I don’t think it should be overlooked that Denver has one of the best D’s in the league and that Nix looks like Truth, with an arm, wheels, and a couple of legit weapons.

Based on that fluky double deflected TD catch I would have to say they have the horseshoe up their butts right now

Edit: I’m not conceding a game to the Broncos, not at all.  My points are:
1) Bills fans need to stop shivering their Timbers over the Bengals because of 2 years ago.  They aren’t the same complete team

2) I’m tired of some Bills fans calling for McDermott’s head if the outcome of a playoff game doesn’t match their preconceived expectations.  Denver is a good team, they aren’t at all scared of playing in Buffalo weather, their defense looks fierce, and Nix looks like he’s going to be very very good.

Bills have one of the best QBs ever to play the game.

McDermott has had a hand in selecting the defensive players who have routinely choked/not come up big in playoff games. Guys that first round picks have been used on (Rousseau, Oliver, Elam, etc). Ultimate responsibility falls to the coach and we don't have a ring right now, despite Allen having amazing playoff performances, because of his coaching, because of McDermott. A better coach pulls a Belichick or Harbaugh in that 13 second game and has our defenders hold every Chiefs player to kill clock and force a hail mary. A better coach doesn't see teams repeatedly score on will in us in key playoff games and even in some regular season games as of late (no excuse why Allen is 1-1 in games when the offense scored over 40 points this year other than McDermott being a failure at the defensive side of the ball). He is Schottenheimer 2.0 right now.

If the Bengals played us with Chase and Higgins and Burrow they put would up a lot of points like the Rams, Lions, Dolphins, Cardinals, etc did. Bengals defense is weaker than two years ago but their offense scores a lot and we struggle to stop good offenses.

Denver is a good team but we should be  better and us fans should expect more. Win the game and get a Super Bowl ring with one of the best QBs to ever play the game. If we lose it falls on coaching unless Allen completely plays terribly.

Bucs had to get rid of Dungy to get a Super Bowl ring. Patriots had to get rid of Pete Carroll to get a super bowl ring.  Sometimes changes are necessary.

I'm a bit nervous about the Broncos

They’ll be really competitive imo.  Bonitto is a beast.  Eager to see how our OL does vs this pass rush.  58 sacks led the league.  Nix is tough to corral in pocket- I worry about him making play with his legs

The Bengals are probably the best offense that's missed the playoffs in recent memory. Literally there is no teams in the playoffs that wants to get into a shoot out with the bills, lions, or bengals.

* maybe add rams when Stafford and the offense is hot, but they are a roller coaster of an offense

Steelers at Ravens seems like a great scenario for us. Lamar has a hard time against Pittsburgh historically.

3-5 with 8 TDs to 9 INT, completed less than 60% of his passes.

Probably just wishful thinking…

Baltimore will probably win but I agree. That's the team you want them playing. Especially with how physical the Steelers are.

You think KC wants to see CIN in the playoffs or DEN? Plus any injury today could be multiple weeks, right?

absolutely no reason for KC to play anybody of substance today

Do the Chargers or the Steelers have a better chance at winning in Baltimore ?   I think it’s a slim chance for either one of them, but the Steelers have some history behind them.

I do think the Chargers would have the best chance at upsetting the Chiefs in the divisional round.  They may even be favored to beat Houston in the wild card game.

This is what's going through my mind right now.  On the one hand, Pittsburgh will beat the living crap out of them physically even if they have a slim chance of winning.

The Chargers have a history of choking but I do think Jim Harbaugh might have the better chance of beating them.  If that happens, we'd play either the Texans or Steelers in Orchard Park... with the Chargers headed to Arrowhead.  I really like that scenario.

Playoff Josh can shred any D.

This.

Josh Allen in the Playoffs is a threat to throw anywhere on the field, on any play, with the added potential of him running on any play.

With a top end OL and solid playmakers all over, unless he’s having a horrible day, we shouldn’t be concerned about anyone’s defense.

*With a slight caveat that I need to see our WR’s make plays against playoff Defenses*

It is as it’s always been.. Will our Defense (actually healthy this year) step up in the postseason.

An absolutely gnawing question to keep asking with a Defensive minded HC.

I truly hope this is the year he surprises us with a healthy unit on that side of the ball as opposed to previous years.
