Would love to see a halfback option with Josh catching a 70 yard TD to cement his MVP.

I think it's over but I am concerned about the voters. You just never know what ppl are thinking

All joking aside I hope trubisky gets some real work.

How about some screen passes to Tyrel Shavers?

Honestly, I wouldn't mind having starters (including Josh Allen) play for up to a quarter.  It's a matter of helping players keep sharp.  There are some cases of teams (mostly teams that had first round byes) playing sloppy because they had extra time off.  I think the benefits outweigh the risk of injury.

It’s important to Allen because it shows his ability to play through injuries for his teammates, that he’s a guy they can count on to be under center every week.

It’s a streak that matters because of the perception from the men in the locker room, he doesn’t give a damn if media or fans see him as tough.

Yeah, but the men in the locker room know the difference between playing through pain and taking a few snaps to keep alive a streak. The first is real and important and for his teammates; the second is phony and for show. I love Allen, but I don't think much of this priority of his.

This game will be interesting because I think McD will want to see the backups playing hard and they will relish the chance to play and be motivated to win.

The Pats on the other hand, are caught in the quandary of wanting to lose but not make it look obvious.

Old timers may remember it came down to the Bills and Eagles vying for the No 1 pick (OJ Simpson), and the Eagles inexplicably won a final game and had to settle for drafting Leroy Keyes at No 2.

That's going to be a hand-off to ray Davis or Frank gore Jr and then put the ball cap on

I think Cook will play too. He is about 30 yards short of 1,000 and one touchdown short of OJ's record. They will give him a quarter I reckon to achieve those.

The fact you don’t think much of his priorities is irrelevant, it’s a very meaningful streak not only to Allen but  his teammates, especially his oline responsible for keeping him healthy.

I hope KJ Hamler gets a call up too.

I would actually call up Hamler and Gore Jr.

Or one ps wr and RB

That way if it's an emergency, and we need them, at least they got some reps

Seems like a silly streak to care about. Does he want to be seen as an iron man or tough guy? His many enemies will be eager to divide his TDs, yardage, and so on by an additional game to argue his stats aren't impressive.

Lol …his many enemies … reminds me of Catwoman, Joker , Riddler and the Penguin all conspiring about how to get Batman…

Allen has said several times that he doesn’t particularly care about the award in comparison to the teams overall success…maybe we should believe what he says ?

I'm more so thinking the Anti-Josh media will try to include this game's stats against Allen when supporting Lamar

You’re right, but those talking head idiots don’t get a vote.  They don’t matter.  They are just making fools of themselves.

McD had his press conference today and stated Allen and a few other starters will start the game Sunday, but will then be pulled quickly.

McD said the consecutive start streak is important to Allen and he wants to respect it.

I’m perfectly fine with this and like that McD honors it.  Now, if he plays more than one drive and does anything more than hand the ball off or throw a quick screen, different story.

Thank you, honey. 😘

Josh's streak is the 12th longest in NFL history... and counting.

I want to see Allen add one more TD.

As mentioned upthread, thrown to an NFL (team) record 14th different receiver.

One drive, one TD, one NFL record > baseball cap.

As they say in some industries including mine, the greatest ability is dependability.

For people of a certain mindset, there's almost nothing more important.

Bills backups are better than the Patriots

Josh will start the game and get maybe a drive, doubtful two.  Quick plays where he has no chance of getting hit.

I expect the Bills will take a shot or two  to get a 14th receiver a touchdown.  But I think it’ll be Trubisky to some tackle eligible or a PS guy that hasn’t got one yet.

Most of the voting list for MVP are talking head idiots. There are a few newspaper journalists sprinkled in there.

Well, according to Allen himself the streak is important to HIM.  The MVP, not so much.
