McD had his press conference today and stated Allen and a few other starters will start the game Sunday, but will then be pulled quickly.

McD said the consecutive start streak is important to Allen and he wants to respect it.

I’m perfectly fine with this and like that McD honors it.  Now, if he plays more than one drive and does anything more than hand the ball off or throw a quick screen, different story.

All joking aside I hope trubisky gets some real work.

Remember when mahomes had that mild concussion in 2020 vs Cleveland and henne had to finish the game. Trubisky needs to get some reps.

Frank Reich also had to win in some big spots in the super bowl years.

Obviously if Josh gets seriously hurt our run is over, but he needs to be ready if Josh can't finish a game from a minor sprain or injury

Same with Samuel, Davis, Van Demark, Solomon,Elam, Bishop etc.

In 2022 KC had to use multiple rookies on defense, especially in the AFC championship and they were ready

I want to see the rookies look good

Great.

So now Acho will come out and say that Allen can have early PO exit and still consider season a success since his consecutive start streak is alive :)

you also don’t want him starting behind the 2nd and 3rd string. This is even where he is just handing off.

It’s probably a handoff…

but I say let Amari and Keon run go routes and try to hit a 70 yard TD 😆

how about a 3 HB formation and they all go out on 35 yard routs.  The book is out that we pass to our HB's at will..  Lets finish the book with a bang and call it a day lol.

I'm more so thinking the Anti-Josh media will try to include this game's stats against Allen when supporting Lamar

I want to see Allen add one more TD.

I had the over on 3,750 passing yards for Allen and right now I am 20 yards short thanks to a phantom holding penalty on Brown.  I also bet over 27.5 passing touchdowns and he has that at 28.  I will gladly lose that first bet at this point to keep Allen healthy though.

I don’t think you lost because of that hold. Allen passed them down the field anyway after that play and got an extra ten yards to boot to make up for the hold.

Seems like a silly streak to care about. Does he want to be seen as an iron man or tough guy? His many enemies will be eager to divide his TDs, yardage, and so on by an additional game to argue his stats aren't impressive.

You know they will.  Lamar has to play and should have a field day against a run for the bus Browns team.  I am resigned to it going Lamar’s way at this point, but Burrow becoming a compromise choice is also a real possibility.  Win. Super. Bowl.  Screw everything else.

Think…….preseason. It’s that simple, to me.

You want to see some guys show well, and the team to look good, but get out of this healthy.

I want cook to be active and get another rushing touchdown.

he is  19 yards short of 1000.

i hope the opening drive is like 6 straight runs for cook and then some quick safe throws.

I would t be surprised if Allen wants cook to break 1000 yard and get that 16th TD.

You are right.  Wasn’t thinking.  Just bad luck for me that we wrapped up the game so quickly I guess. 😂 that’s why I rarely gamble on sports.

Elam will be interesting. He was inactive this past game. I think he screwed up his chance to stay out of McD’s doghouse. They will probably play him Sunday but only after all other CBs have their game.

It’s important to Allen because it shows his ability to play through injuries for his teammates, that he’s a guy they can count on to be under center every week.

It’s a streak that matters because of the perception from the men in the locker room, he doesn’t give a damn if media or fans see him as tough.
