I can see a 0-0 F OT score ... Both teams fumble the ball away constantly, most of the game will be played between the 40's

Fumbles, missed FG's, shanked punts, shoddy tackling, this game will have it all. Neither team will want the W and do everything in their power to lose the game.

I could see both teams Safety themselves all day.

J/K Kind of

If it’s Brisette vs. Trubisky we’re likely to see a 9-6 classic.

That would be a stupid move. Young QBs need playing time, and a meaningless game for both teams is a perfect scenario to get him valuable experience.

Yeah, so this tells you why they're thinking of benching him.

Draft picks in general are far overvalued. It is more important to develop their young QB than literally anything else they could possibly ever do in their organization. Everything else should be secondary.

Wait, are you saying the opportunity to give Maye a game against the Bills’ scrubs is more valuable than the difference between the first overall pick and the fourth or fifth pick in this draft???  You realize we’re talking about at least two extra first round picks, plus other premium picks, for a team with a depleted roster, right?

Purposely losing to secure a 1st overall pick is a loser mentality. It’ll teach their players well.

I doubt any of them will be scarred by the experience, and most of these Pats players won’t be with the team past this week anyway.

Yes I am. Crap teams have amazing draft capital all the time. It rarely helps them.

Trading down and getting multiple blue chip players for the O-Line and WR room will help this kid infinitely more than what is essentially a meaningless preseason game against 2nd stringers in a vanilla defense. You're doubling down on a laughably bad take my man, just walk away from this one. 😂

The more I think about it, the more I’d love it if the Bills lost this game.  Would screw the Pats big time… and we still owe the Pats years of screwing.

Let Josh play one drive, and then put our practice squad in!

I want a franchise record 14th win

I would too - but I'm torn between that and how it might feel to see a division rival with a promising young QB make a blockbuster trade on draft day for a potentially franchise-changing boatload of picks.

I have a couple of thoughts:

1. There are going to be a lot of inside zone and duo run plays from both teams.

2. The Bills decisions inside the Redzone will be really interesting. Buffalo is obviously aware of the potential of the Pats having the #1 pick. Will they try and score TDs? FGs? Kneeldowns?

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jerod-mayo-on-sitting-drake-maye-in-week-18-everything-under-consideration

"The Patriots have seen enough to know that Drake Maye is their quarterback for the foreseeable future, but he may not be their quarterback for the final game of the 2024 season.

Head coach Jerod Mayo said at a Monday press conference, via a transcript from the team, that “everything is in consideration” when asked if the team has given any thought to sitting Maye against the Bills in Week 18. Maye was briefly knocked out of Saturday’s loss to the Chargers to be evaluated for a head injury and avoiding any chance of injury that impacted his preparation for the 2025 season would be reason for New England to sit him out."

A loss to the Bills would guarantee them the first pick in the upcoming draft.

a game where each ties runs 3 plays and points ending 0-0 in OT

One drive…no

one play, hand off, then sit.

That would taint his starting games streak. Gotta at least play a few downs. Go three and out and Allen is done. Get a 1st down and Allen is done.

Neither is good. Just get through the game

This post is a general question and not directed at you...

With NFL roster limitations, and such, what is a reasonable % of players that will be needed in the Wild Card round that would have to suit up Week 18 for Buffalo?

I mean, that's a strong case for Bills to forfeit....(Not that I'm advocating that, but if they're not "playing to win", then...)

Potential Bills milestones in week 18.

Cook needs 19 rushing yards for 1000 and 61 total yards for 1300 yards from scrimmage.

Shakir needs 179 receiving yards for 1000 (ok it's not happening)

Josh needs 269 passing yards for 4000 (ok it's not happening either)

Ray Davis needs 22 yards for 400 rushing

Ty Johnson needs 16 yards to get to 500 yards from scrimmage

Kincaid needs 52 yards receiving for 500 (Note: If Kincaid and Ty Johnson reach 500 yards, it will give the Bills 7 players with 500+ yards from scrimmage)

Ty Johnson needs 3 catches for 20 and Ray Davis needs 5 for 20.  If both get to 20 receptions it will give the Bills 10 players with 20 or more catches this season.

The Bills need to play Mike White at QB, no sense in getting our #2 injured in a meaningless game.

Can’t leave anything to risk with the Pats about to draft Travis Hunter. We need to sign and elevate Curtis Painter.
