Allens going to start the game to keep his streak going, then does it really matter

Yes. Josh's streak is 110 consecutive starts... 12th most in NFL history.

The question in my mind is whether he's going to play one series or one quarter.

This will be a game where both teams run the ball into their own endzone.

What's the NFL record for most safeties (the scoring play, not the position) in a game?

Meanwhile the Bills better have Allen and any other important starter in track suits on the sidelines.  If they don't they are idiots.  To hell with a consecutive games streak no one cares.

So it will be the battle of backups and if the Bills lose that will hurt New England.

The Bills can only take so many guys out. I’d make Jimbo, Kincaid, Shakir, Ed, Groot , TB & Benford inactive. JA17 can start and play the first quarter with zero plays called putting him in harms way. Bills can only call two guys up from PS and one has to be Mike White. Maybe Davidson as the other? Hopefully Gilliam should get about 10 carries.

Bills by position group (alphabetically, + practice squad, not including specialists):

Centers (2+1)

CBs (5+2)

DEs (4+2)

DTs (6+1)

FB (1+0)

G (2+1)

LBs (6+0)

QBs (2+1)

RBs (3+1)

S (4+3)

OTs (5+1)

TEs (3+1)

WRs (5+3)

The following players would be candidates to be elevated: Will (Mc)Clapp, Frank Gore, Mike White, Zach Davidson, Casey Toohill, Shavers and/or Hamler, and possibly Kareem Jackson, Micah Hyde, or Lewis Cine.

The Bills need to play Mike White at QB, no sense in getting our #2 injured in a meaningless game.

May depend on how Bills can navigate roster spots. Bills will likely let JA start to preserve his start streak. Then the question is do they carry 3 QBS on the active roster?

That would be a stupid move. Young QBs need playing time, and a meaningless game for both teams is a perfect scenario to get him valuable experience.

They're tanking.  Smart move.

Don't care. I hope trubisky has 400 yds passing and Shavers/ Hollins and Ray Davis all have 100 yds each

Buffalo 44

Pats 3

Solomon 3 sacks

Ray Davis 137 yds, 2 tds

I hate the Patriots and hope we embarrass them in foxboro

Hope they draft a bust with the number one pick too and it's a big joke.

I say forfeit the game as it's meaningless to us.  Screw them out of the 1st overall pick lol

Either that, or have Belichick make the pick!   😊

…or his dog, of course.

Why give up the first pick in the draft for some plays in a preseason game ?

Because the first pick in the draft is extremely overrated if you have your QB.

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jerod-mayo-on-sitting-drake-maye-in-week-18-everything-under-consideration

"The Patriots have seen enough to know that Drake Maye is their quarterback for the foreseeable future, but he may not be their quarterback for the final game of the 2024 season.

Head coach Jerod Mayo said at a Monday press conference, via a transcript from the team, that “everything is in consideration” when asked if the team has given any thought to sitting Maye against the Bills in Week 18. Maye was briefly knocked out of Saturday’s loss to the Chargers to be evaluated for a head injury and avoiding any chance of injury that impacted his preparation for the 2025 season would be reason for New England to sit him out."

A loss to the Bills would guarantee them the first pick in the upcoming draft.

LOL.  I have a feeling there are a couple of games that are going to be "No, seriously, does either team want to win this one?"

No it's not.  You can get a pickup truck load of draft picks for it.

I just dont know if we can waste one of the two call ups on Mike White.  I would rather be able to sit someone like Torrence vs sitting Mitch.

I thought practice squad elevations became unlimited for the playoffs?  Was that just a one-year thing?

If Mike White plays, he is going to show better that Trubisky has in his limited action and there will be calls for him to be the backup.  No doubt in my mind that I would rather have White backing up Allen than Trubisky.  He didn't win when we played him and Milano almost broke him in half, but he earned my respect that day.

I don't watch college ball, so I dont know if any of the QB prospects are "suck for Luck" worthy, but if so, I wouldn't rule out them possibly drafting 'the guy' and then moving Maye in that instance.

Not this year.  Cleveland will need one, so trade back with Cleveland and fleece the last of the life outta their draft capital.
