I know I am beating a dead horse with my views but I am hoping for a Bengals matchup for the following reasons:

1- The Bills are the better team and will beat them.

2- The psychological boost for some players to exorcise a demon. I feel that would be a boost in confidence heading into a possible Ravens and Chiefs matchup in the subsequent rounds and spring board the Bills to greater heights. At least more than a victory over the Broncos or Dolphins would give.

I think we can beat them but I respectfully disagree

Knowing KC's path would be BYE week, Pitt/Houston and then hosting the AFCCG at Home I would hate to see the Bills have to run a gauntlet of Cincy, Baltimore, and KC to get to the Super Bowl.  I'm not saying they can't do it but would much prefer them getting an easy opening weekend matchup.

I believe Denver would take more out of the Bills than the Bengals. The Bengals are not physical at all. Denver has a tough defense and is an overly more physical team.

I never said worried, but i guarantee they had a preference to who they played.

Not necessarily though- It's a week to week and matchup league. In 2022 bengals struggled beating Tyler Huntley and then went on to crush the Bills.

KC and NE didn't always have to "beat the best", which is what you originally said to be a champ.

Most of the time it was a 1st round bye, then someone like Jacksonville, Cleveland or Tim Tebow one year lol.

Point being is it's not ideal to have the toughest possible road to the Super Bowl . You want the most favourable schedule, to put the odds more in your favour . And in the bills case, it would be avoiding Cinci for round 1

Right, but either team was capable of doing so. KC has been the best team in football, Im sure they're not even worried about who's in their way. If you want to be a champion, you have to beat any team they put in front of you.

Ya eventually you're gonna have to beat a good team to win the Super Bowl.

But you also want the easiest path possible. Cinci makes it harder for the Bills i think pretty objectively, so it's better to avoid them .

I agree that Denver would be more of a slugfest.  Even though it's a long shot my first choice for wild card weekend would be Miami.  Surprised at how many fans worry about facing them because of the whole it's hard to beat a team 3 times thing.  It's Miami in Buffalo in January.  We already know that team is soft playing in the elements at this time of year

Miami at home in January = Please sign me up

I initially voted for the Broncos but will take Miami hands down now after thinking about it more.

agreed - Hill and Waddle are pretty banged up I believe?  Plus, Allen owns that D.

Most likely going to be the Broncos, Ravens, at Chiefs for the Bills. Denver will be a tough game because of their defense. They would have beaten the Chiefs in Arrowhead if not for the blocked FG at the end. Still in OP against a rookie QB I like the Bills chances. After that who knows. The Ravens and Chiefs will be very tough games assuming the Bills make it that far.

maybe on paper.  When we've faced the Bengals....we've been dominated physically and mentally

I get this....but Miami was basically done.  Them getting in....they'd have nothing to lose.

Mostert and Achane are a major headache

we'll see!

Tua is still injured...is he expected back if they get in?

Mostert has 64 yards rushing since November 3rd. He isn’t a part of that offense anymore.

That was a different Bengals and different Bills team.

As of this date the Dolphins lead the overall series with the Bills 62-60-1. I want to play them again this season so that after we sweep the Dolphins next year we will have a winning record against the Dolphins. Any Bills fan who remembers the decade of the '70s is probably on board with this senario.

Broncos are no joke

They just went to overtime against a desperate Bengals team with Burrow playing some of the best football in the league.

They should have beaten KC already.

Payton is no joke and that is a tough team.

All that said, it's the playoffs! There are few easy outs because the AFC was so bad for so long that most of the great young QBs ended up in this conference

This ain't the Patriots dynasty AFC where Peyton Manning and the Ravens defense were your only hurdles and often played each other because NE was almost always #1 seed since the AFC East was so laughably inept

Why does it feel like the #2 seed often gets to play the team "no one wants to play"?  lol    Same with the Eagles vs Packers.

I'm kind of surprised to hear Miami's coach say Tua is unlikely to play this weekend.  What happened to him?  They are next in line if Denver loses...and it's not improbable that Denver could choke.   This is a must win for the Dolphins.

Honestly, kind of want the Bengals.  Tua is going to be shutdown likely and Denver has a moderately good defense.  We know Burrow and Chase are killing it but I feel like if you get a stop on them, even once, they are going to fall behind and we will be able to control the clock.
