Remember this guy McKissic?

What a fatal mistake HE made... and one that ended up helping us get a beast like Ty Johnson.

Thanks for sharing, bro.

I remember wanting him and was a little bummed when he re-signed with the Commanders.

I’m so glad we got Ty Johnson instead. He fits this team really well and he legitimately is a really good weapon out of the backfield. He’s consistent, clutch and also a team player.

Go Bills!

McKissic/McKitrick I can't keep them straight😅

Don't feel bad!!! Remember this movie? One of the great ones when I was growing up.

John McKittrick : There's no way that a high school punk can put a dime into a telephone and break into our system! He's got to be working with somebody else. He's got to be!

Wigan : He does fit the profile perfectly. He's intelligent, an underachiever, alienated from his parents, has few friends. A classic case for recruitment by the Soviets.

I wonder if the Bills will be able to keep him. I'm sure they'd love him back on another vet minimum type deal, but he might have other options this year and want to wait until FA opens.

Best third down back in the League , per Romo

What are they worth these days ? Since Backs are undervalued ??

This is the best place for him and Cook and Davis even.

Am sure they will let him look as decent as Beane's team are to players

I would give him a raise honestly. Davis is fixed. Cook is going to be a financial challenge soon. That is my worry. He functions so well in tis offense and critical key I might even suggest

I’m fairly certain he’ll stay here.  He’s the preferred 3rd down back for the best QB in the league, kind of like being the backup catcher who plays when a certain ace pitcher does.

Or the backup goalie when his team plays against the Sabres.

I really do hope he stays and that they can get a deal done.

I know he’s our 3rd RB with how good Cook and Davis are, but he’s been so good and reliable too, he doesn’t seem like a 3rd.

He’s just such a good weapon to have. He gets the tough yards, doesn’t have negative plays and he’s been a great pass catcher as a RB. He’s also been out there in the 4th quarter in critical situations. So, they trust him too.

JD mckissic a likely reason all three of elam cook and benford are bills

From what I heard if the bills had known from the start he wasn't signing here, Levi Wallace would have been resigned instead

Thus in the draft the bills put higher needs on corners and a pass catching back

Ty and Mack both may have out priced their return next season.

I’ve always been impressed with Ty back to Detroit and the Jets.  I remember wishing we had him over both Motor and Moss.

Good thoughts, bro.

I hope not as I’d love to have both of them back, but I definitely know what you’re saying.

Since Motor was our #1, are you saying that you feel Ty could be a #1? Or is it more that you don’t feel Motor is a #1 back?

I think we pivoted to Duke Johnson after the McKissic ordeal

I mean from what we've heard the Bills organization and Buffalo can really end up being a place players love being, that being said the Jets are an awfully low bar to clear.

It has been this way since the arrival of the much maligned Mcdermott, Brandon Beane and Josh Allen.

Was that a real sign she held up or was that photo shoped?

So that's what that was.  I was sitting about 15 rows up and saw that sign and was wondering who made the sign.

The Wiz confirmed he saw it as he was at the game, but didn’t know who made it.

I never thought motor was an acceptable #1.  I really liked him too.  He was fun to watch at times and is a solid back-  I just thought Ty was better to my eye

i think Ty would be a solid starting back for some teams.  If he were the starter for KC, I think he’d be pretty darn good.  I’m glad he’s not our 1 but he’s one of the better RB2’s and probably the best RB3.  Our depth at the position is fierce. As is WR, TE and OL.

While we may be lacking top tier talent across the board, our offensive depth is impressive.  Beating KC without our last 2 1st rd picks,  both playmakers, is a testament to that.

You nailed something I’ve been thinking, bro.

We have such good to really good offensive players that it allows each player to play in the number role (ie- TE2, WR3, RB1) that they’ll do best in, be most effective in and be most dangerous in.

We have it with Kincaid and Knox. We have it with our WRs, which was one reason I’m so glad we got Cooper. And, we have it with our RBs as well.

This is why we’re so hard to stop, and like @Big Turk referenced in another thread, we’ve had a historic offense this year.

Great thoughts!

So question with starters resting this last game, do we raise a PS RB to get a bunch of the carries? Because if Mitch is under center we're probably running even more and Ty has become a not-so-insignificant part of our offense. So it'd be a little nuts to run him into the ground a bit in the last game of the season before the Playoffs.

Probably? Maybe? But these two feel like they’re the next wave of Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson, Micah Hyde and John Brown types.

They’re veterans and would likely prefer just to come back to Buffalo and enjoy playing with Josh even if it’s for a little less than Jacksonville or New England would give them.
