I’m glad the jets released Ty. Ty is low key one of my favorite players on the team. He is so dependable, has some play making ability, smart. He reminds me a lot of what the patriots always had in James white in their later SB years.

im sure the spouses club for the bills is also a lot more tight-knit than the jets which makes family life that much better

I wonder if the Bills will be able to keep him. I'm sure they'd love him back on another vet minimum type deal, but he might have other options this year and want to wait until FA opens.

Its RB, there are hundreds of capable guys out there.  If Bills want him, they will get him.

Ty Johnson is a winning ball player and always shows up with an important drive sustaining play or a good return. He did the same good things for the Jets but inexplicably they didn’t want him. One of the low key master stroke moves that Beane pulled off. He also added Codrington from the clueless Jets and vastly improved our return game. The Jets are treasure trove of talented players ready to be stolen.

He was a nice add to our best RB stable of the McBeane era.  His wife’s sign was pretty funny.  She sounds like a very loving wife so good for him.  He’ll probably get a considerable amt. if playing time next week to save Cook and Davis for the playoffs.  I can see McD trying when close to the goal line this Sunday putting in Cook until he gets that single season record.

I’m fairly certain he’ll stay here.  He’s the preferred 3rd down back for the best QB in the league, kind of like being the backup catcher who plays when a certain ace pitcher does.

I don't think he is getting more than vet minimum anywhere.  It was 1.21 for a player with 7+ years of experience.  I would imagine its at least 1.25 million next year.  For a RB in this league, that's decent money to be paying a 3rd stringer.

Possibly. He just does so many things, he can play on coverage teams, he returns kicks, he can pass protect, he can be a receiving back (and win downfield not just check downs) and in a pinch he is a serviceable runner. I wonder if a bad team with a few cap $$s to throw about and a young QB they are trying to prop up might find him enticing as a #2.

Not sure what are cap situation will be next year but they might offer him a little more than the vet minimum. Bills seem willing to reward production. Of course someone else could still out bid us.
