Regardless, with Saturday games Week 18; games Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for the WC; and Saturday and Sunday for the divisionals, it won't be perfect. That is just the way it is. The Bills have had so many scheduling breaks the last two seasons anyway.

 

If Pitt falls to the 6 I think Chargers/Texans are Saturday at 4:30 and Bills/Broncos are Sunday at either 1 or 4pm.  IF Pitt falls to the 6, Steelers at Ravens either gets Saturday or Sunday night.  A potential Packers at Eagles game will get the other primetime game, with the Washington/Rams game getting Monday night .  Minnesota/Detroit at Tampa bay is will be the other Sunday game (again, IF that's how the matchup's play out).  AFC South winner seemingly owns the Saturday 4:30 slot, only thing that could move them out of that is the Steelers national draw.  But again, if Pitt slips to 6, it's Chargers/Texans

I think if it's Broncos at Bills it will be Sunday at 4:30. If it's Dolphins at Bills it will be Sunday at 1:00. If some how it's Bengals at Bills, I feel it will be a Saturday or Sunday night game

Rams have incentive to play starts at #3 seed with winning instead of being #4 facing min/ det loser in WC. This game makes more sense for Saturday because they could rest starters on Sunday knowing they were locked at 3.

Who is going to work hard to lose their final game...Giants or the Patriots with the Patriots controlling their destiny to land the top pick in the 2025 draft.

 

And closing out the regular season on SNF where the Lions and Vikings will fight for the #1 seed or the #6 seed;  somewhat similar to what the Bills and Dolphins went through last season in the final week. 

 

Exciting week 18 is on the cards.  Go Bills !!!

 

 

Do the Bills lose on purpose to try and prevent the Patriots from getting the top pick in the draft?  That would be funny especially if let's the Bills south (see Schoen and Daboll) get the pick instead.

I'm pre-emptively annoyed at Lamar getting another chance to compile stats on a standalone game against a bad opponent, while Josh Allen sits in week 18, and then NFL analysts, talking heads, fans, and MVP voters not taking into consideration WHY it is that Josh is sitting and Lamar is still playing.

Ugh.

I could see it if a team is really enamored with Cam Ward and wants to leap frog the Titans for the pick. Yet if I'm the Pats they need playmakers on offense and best thing for them be getting Travis Hunter IMO and staying at number 1 best way to guarantee it.

Cuz Josh and the Bills secured their division 5 weeks ago unlike Lamar who will finish with more losses and a lower seed regardless of what Josh and/or the Bills do on Sunday. I get the talk up of Lamar but Josh and the Bills have scored more points than the Ravens despite Josh no have a 1000 yard running back or wide receiver to pair with him.  The only way Lamar wins MVP is just 'cuz. As the argument for him was the same one Josh had last season and lost it. No reason Josh should lose it to Lamar this season. If want to give to Barkley I disagree as again product of better surrounding cast. The only reason can see Josh losing it just 'cuz and if you don't understand that well then listen to those that voting against him seemingly have in common.

Travis Hunter is someone that could change the entire direction of your franchise, why would a team give that up?  There aint a QB even close to being a number one overall pick.

Someone will give up a ton of picks to move up to #1. I think that would be preferable to picking a non QB at #1, imo.

Not always. The early Saturday game in 2020 went to (7) IND-(2) BUF as (5) BAL-(4) TEN played on Sunday as it was more compelling. 

 

This year, DEN-BUF it MIA-BUF is not as interesting IMO, but PIT-HOU or LAC-HOU is. Still, that game may be the early Saturday one, also known as the "AFC South Invitational".

There is no way that our game would be the early Saturday game. It's always the AFC South home team that gets that game. If we play the Dolphins, it will he Sunday at 1. Broncos I can maybe be the same but I think it's more likely it's Sunday 4:30

I don't think the week 18 is going to matter.  Most of the people voting for the MVP have already made their mind based on their bias...A week 18 stat is not going to change their mind (and it shouldn't as they should look at the whole body of work).

Monday has to be 4v5. So it wont be LAR-WAS.

 

 

I can't see BUF playing Sunday at 430. Not against Denver. Too good of a slot. DEN-BUF sounds like Saturday afternoon or night or maybe Sunday 1 PM.

I'd love to agree with you, but I don't think I do.

If Lamar Jackson, say, scores five touchdowns while making a couple spectacular runs, you can't tell me that that -- being the final impression left by either quarterback during this season -- won't sway some votes.

You say it's always the AFC South home team in the first game while quoting a post that gives an example where it wasn't. 

 

I do think Houston is likely to get the first game, but wouldn't be surprised if it's bills broncos. Most likely slots for the bills game is one of the first two games Sunday IMO.

Stop. I already showed you where the early Sat. game is not always the AFC South. And no way DEN-BUF is on Sun. 430, which is the premier slot. No one cares about Demver this year. More interest in GB, DET, PHL, MN, etc. The DEN gane has the potential for a blow out.

If there was one time where it wasn't, it was the only time. Do me a favor, look up what the first playoff game has been the last 10-12 years. I guarantee you, it's been the AFC South Winner at home. The only time it wasn't that I can remember in that time frame was when the Titans had a first round bye back in 2019 or 2020. That's it. It will be the Texans and whoever

I see this mentioned but if Pitt lays down they could drop to 6 and play Baltimore instead of Houston in WC. I would argue they’d be plenty motivated to still play for that seeding, but maybe that’s wrong.
