Interesting that they split up the Ravens and Steelers games. If Ravens win, Steelers could rest guys vs the Bengals with the division no longer in play. Though I think they would still want to play for the 5 seed. Massive difference going to Houston Baltimore.

I know there has been an effort in recent years to have mutually meaningful games played in the same slot to prevent an early result from influencing another team's lineup/load management. But maybe the money on Saturday's bid came with certain flex stipulations?

Really strange to not have the Steelers and Ravens play at the same time on Sunday. Now the Steelers might (probably will?) rest their starters if the Ravens win the earlier game.

Its big difference being #5 with a win and losing and becoming #6.

Texans or Ravens.  Who would you want to play?

I'm surprised Miami vs. New York Jets isn't the Sunday afternoon game over Baltimore and Cleveland. Maybe they want to showcase Lamar one more time in a stand alone game.

One more little point here, Baltimore is now getting an extra day to prepare.

it’s amazing to me that the 3 and potential 7 seeds are getting this.

Bills have an entire extra week. We certainly are not preparing for the Patriots over the next seven days. Best option is to assume a Broncos win and start preparing for them.

Because the ravens need to win for the division.

Lamar gets a national window against a terrible Browns team and Steelers will know before hand whether to rest their starters against Bengals (assuming they don't care about seeding).  Thanks NFL.

That’s not how it works.  The bills have to play a road game Saturday and no matter how many times people say it doesn’t matter and starters won’t play.   They still have to prepare and only a few starters will sit.

its just not right anyway you try and excuse it.

and again throw in the fact that the 3 seed is also getting an extra day of rest.  It’s absurd.

The bengals are winning this game no matter what the Steelers do.

Would you think it worthwhile to try to win so WC weekend they play versus the Texans instead of playing against the Ravens ? I suspect they will try to win the game next week

They didn't prepare for the Patriots the first time they played so I don't see why they would this time with nothing on the line.

Lol so the team that needs to win to secure the 3 gets an extra day rest over the team that already cliched the 2?  Seems legit.

The only way it makes sense for Baltimore is if they are playing next Saturday also.  Then it’s normal rest especially since I think Pitt is going to lose and they will both be on the same schedule.

Ravens might not know if they are playing the Steelers or Chargers.
