Process Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Interesting that they split up the Ravens and Steelers games. If Ravens win, Steelers could rest guys vs the Bengals with the division no longer in play. Though I think they would still want to play for the 5 seed. Massive difference going to Houston Baltimore. 2 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 What a dumb choice for Saturday at 4:30. Oh well. Glad to see another 1pm Sunday for us 1 3 1 Quote

I know there has been an effort in recent years to have mutually meaningful games played in the same slot to prevent an early result from influencing another team's lineup/load management. But maybe the money on Saturday's bid came with certain flex stipulations? 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Really strange to not have the Steelers and Ravens play at the same time on Sunday. Now the Steelers might (probably will?) rest their starters if the Ravens win the earlier game. Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I'm surprised Miami vs. New York Jets isn't the Sunday afternoon game over Baltimore and Cleveland. Maybe they want to showcase Lamar one more time in a stand alone game. Quote

Who would you want to play? 1 Quote

One more little point here, Baltimore is now getting an extra day to prepare. it’s amazing to me that the 3 and potential 7 seeds are getting this. 2 1 Quote

Bills have an entire extra week. We certainly are not preparing for the Patriots over the next seven days. Best option is to assume a Broncos win and start preparing for them. Quote

Doc Brown Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Lamar gets a national window against a terrible Browns team and Steelers will know before hand whether to rest their starters against Bengals (assuming they don't care about seeding). Thanks NFL. 1 Quote
Process Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 Honestly Cincinnati winning is a good thing. They still won't make the playoffs, and Chargers at 5/Steelers at 6 is the best thing for the Bills. 3 Quote

The bills have to play a road game Saturday and no matter how many times people say it doesn’t matter and starters won’t play. They still have to prepare and only a few starters will sit. its just not right anyway you try and excuse it. and again throw in the fact that the 3 seed is also getting an extra day of rest. It’s absurd. 2 minutes ago, Doc Brown said: Lamar gets a national window against a terrible Browns team and Steelers will know before hand whether to rest their starters against Bengals (assuming they don't care about seeding). Thanks NFL. The bengals are winning this game no matter what the Steelers do. 1 2 1 Quote

Would you think it worthwhile to try to win so WC weekend they play versus the Texans instead of playing against the Ravens ? I suspect they will try to win the game next week Quote

Richard Noggin Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 The criticism over the extra day of rest for the #3 seed (vs the #2 seed) is legit. But that unfortunately just isn't the focus for the Week 18 broadcast schedule/map. Quote

Seems legit. The only way it makes sense for Baltimore is if they are playing next Saturday also. Then it’s normal rest especially since I think Pitt is going to lose and they will both be on the same schedule. Quote
