I was fine with his idea and agree with him, BUT to make that gesture to Allen in front of the home crowd was completely uncalled for and totally unearned at this point in his career. I interpreted this as an arrogant, unaccomplished rookie trying to show up the MVP frontrunner in front of the home crowd, and i don't like it one bit. Am i alone in this opinion or are there different interpretations out there? Please go smell some grass. Receivers and QBs communicate about incompletions through hand gestures all the time. The next TD pass was thrown higher and caught. 3
Johnnycage46 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Even for here, this is an awful take. 2 1 2
Bangarang Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 We should all ignore Keon the next time we hang out. 4 1
transient Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 After bailing out of the pocket and twice avoiding getting sacked before ripping a pass downfield into Coleman's hands, Allen should have given the rookie the "squeeze the effin' ball" hand gesture... ...in fairness, I think the DB got a hand in there, but where's the fun in acknowledging that? 1 3
julian Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 It wasn’t done in anger or frustration, the kid simply let the MVP know where the ball needs to be, Allen adjusted and threw him a lob pass to the rim for a TD. Looked like a QB and a young receiver growing together on the field in real time. 4 4
starrymessenger Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I agree with the OP although I don't think it's as serious as he seems to think. And I like Keon a lot, both as a player and a teammate. One reason why it's not serious is because Allen, though a huge baller, is very much a laid back guy. A genuinely nice guy. Not all HoF worthyQBs are like that. Favre or Rodger's in his prime might have kicked his ass so hard he'd fly back to Florida without a plane. Had he been playing with guys like that he probably would have known better than to do it. Actually his being so loose is an indication of the chemistry these two are cooking up. That's the important thing. 1 1
BillnutinHouston Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 Well apparently I'm just getting old. I found it disrespectful given that Coleman's done so little and Allen's done so much, but obviously I'm in the minority! 1 2 2

H2o Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Oh my Gerd, we have another Diggs on our hands. What a problem child this rook is.
strive_for_five_guy Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Keon at the 1:30 mark at Josh’s MVP status: "It took this long? S---, he was MVP five games ago," Coleman said when asked about Allen being the front-runner. "But I'm biased." I think him and Josh will be alright.

Thanks, this is exactly my point. Quit acting like a football savant when you've done almost nothing yet in your little career. 1 3 1 1
Bad Things Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) Xavier Worthy never would have "shown Josh up" like that in front of the home crowd. Thanks Beane/McClappy. I can't wait until the season is over. Edited December 30, 2024 by Bad Things 4 1

VW82 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 It was a horrible throw that even the announcers picked up on. Surely Josh isn't above constructive criticism.
