BillnutinHouston Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Anyone else notice, after Allen's first target to Coleman in the EZ falls incomplete (at exactly 8:20 of the 1st quarter), Coleman looks back in Allen's direction, points upward and makes (what I interpreted as) a "throw it higher next time" gesture? I was fine with his idea and agree with him, BUT to make that gesture to Allen in front of the home crowd was completely uncalled for and totally unearned at this point in his career. I interpreted this as an arrogant, unaccomplished rookie trying to show up the MVP frontrunner in front of the home crowd, and i don't like it one bit. Am i alone in this opinion or are there different interpretations out there? 3 4 27 1 28 1 20 1 4
PromoTheRobot Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Allen took his advice, didn't he. 14 2 3 1 9
Big Turk Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 What was wrong with it? He simply said to throw it higher. My God...some people make it obvious they never played competitive sports before. 7 7 2 4 5
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I love the inclusion of “in front of the home crowd” as if it’s a tense dinner with the in laws or something. 1 25 2

Bonkers take imo, OP. 1 1 1

Gugny Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 If it was Phil McConkey who did this, all would be okay with the world … well, in Houston, anyway.
JROC INTEL Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I saw it, it’s whatever, but ya i wouldn’t do that. Honestly you can argue it’s a good thing that players feel comfortable enough to communicate like that. But ya just say something in the huddle or the sideline. 1 1 3
Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 It doesn't necessarily mean that he was showing up Josh by pointing up. Maybe he was just blaming God for the drop 1 7 1
