GASabresIUFan Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) With Josh likely to sit out next week against NE, I thought it might be good to look back at our TD catches this season. The Cooper and Coleman TDs in today's Jets games were among the best TD receptions of the year for the Bills. Josh's reception is probably the answer to the question, but I thought I'd open it up to nominations. Please post a video if you can. Shavers gets attaboy for taking it to the house on his first catch of his NFL career. Here are the videos from today game. Shavers Coleman Cooper Edited December 29, 2024 by GASabresIUFan 2 3 2 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 The catch by Cooper is the best TD catch I can recall for sometime off a Josh throw … maybe ever ? Nicely timed jump on the Coleman TD … he has some nice skills … he is still young so I hope he has a lot more to show before we see his ceiling … time will tell 1 1 1 Quote
Don Otreply Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I forget which game it was when Shakir deftly rolled over his opponent at the goal line for a TD, that was some serious body control right there, 4 1 Quote
scuba guy Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I'll give it to Josh. Josh to coop to Josh Superman always wins 2 Quote
Sojourner Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Coleman’s was nice but Cooper’s was spectacular. Absolutely unreal. 4 Quote
transient Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Couple of things with rewatching the Coleman TD. 1, Romo clearly thinks that's going to get picked as he starts to lament the pass. 2, Spencer Brown is enormous. I know he's listed as 6'8", but standing next to him, Allen, who's 6'5", looks more like 'lil Dirty. 1 1 3 Quote

I think the Diggs route against Lattimore against the Saints was the best play a WR ever made for a Josh Allen TD pass. Cooper is right up there though in terms of just catching it. 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 That Cooper TD catch is something I see other offenses get on a weekly basis but never us. Allen finally has a WR he can rely on downfield. Hopefully we can re-sign him to a mid-tier deal. 2 4 Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Josh to Cooper to Josh (Sorry about analysis) Quote

There was a pass to Shakir w/in the last few games that… he tried to look back and over his head to follow the ball but completely lost where he was and where he needed to be. We haven’t had a pass completion like that in forever, it seems. Quote

dma0034 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I'm pretty sure last year Diggs broke one of the Dolphins ankles on an in and out route for a TD. It was disgusting Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I still liked the long Ray Davis screen pass to the house best. Quote

We haven't made it a point to find WRs that can make those plays, which is really disappointing with a QB with Allen's skill set and talent. Drafting Coleman was a step in the right direction but he has a lot to prove still. Trading for Cooper was finally an admission that what they had wasn't good enough. Keep adding to the room next year. Make it so that we can make those plays every week, not once in a career. And I'd like to see Brady call more of those deep shots to Cooper and even Coleman. Moving the ball a few yards at a time can be efficient but also difficult to sustain. We need more explosive plays. Cooper has made a late stage career off those types of catches. Make them a key feature of the offense. 2 1 Quote
