You don't need to support the Confederacy to acknowledge it is part of our history, just as native American history is part of our history. Speaking from the view of a person who lives in the county where this crap started, this has been a stupid, really stupid enterprise. Flags at half mast for a month is just as useless and goofy. As JT Adams said, there is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to pass judgement on any of the rest of us. 1
