Cook and Josh retain their automatic game balls, Shakir's automatic game ball is revoked (that's two weeks in a row for Tupac).

Keon Coleman - Too many drops, but big catches and the up the ladder TD (MY BALL!!) give my man the game ball.

Amari Cooper - Coop had a number of big catches and the monster bomb TD from Josh.

Tyrell "Earnie" Shavers - First NFL touch results in a TD.  Doesn't get much better than that.

Greg "Groot" Rousseau - Made the 4th down stop, tipped the ball that Phillips intercepted, made life a living hell for A A Ron all day.

Ed Oliver - Not a fan of Ed, but I gotta give it to him today.  Had the big sack and forced the fumble that Cookie recovered.

AJ Epenesa - Big sack early, lots of tackles, harassed A A Ron all day long.

Cam Lewis - ST MVP the last two weeks.  Big stop on the Jest first KR, then downs a punt at the 5.

Brandon "The Butler" Codrington - Excellent decision making today, got the most of every PR.

Who ya got?

Total team domination effort but I think the following players deserve a game ball.

Defense

1- Groot - Made the big stop on 4th and a foot early on which set the tone and kept the Jets off the board early. Plus he tipped the ball that was picked by Jordan Phillips.

2- Jordan Phillips - Great pick off the Groot tip. Smartly gave himself up after picking it off to avoid a fumble.

3- AJE - Opened the game out to a two possession lead with the safety sack big play.

Offense

1- Josh Allen - Dude is just always out there making plays

2- Amari Cooper - Shows you why this offense needs him made the big play that effectively closed the game out pushing the lead to a three possession lead.

Did they not give AJ a sack when it went over Taylors head? Nevermind looked it up they counted it as a fumble recovered and a run for no yards.  Thought AJ had 2 sacks.

Coleman also had a 26 yard TD called back for holding.  I'm a homer but I would have given them the TD, I didn't see anything that needed to be called.

JA17, per the usual

Rousseau

Oliver

Cooper

Allen didn't have great stats today, but was a good part due to all the drops.  Coleman and Shakir each had 2 I think, Cooper 1.  If I recall Coleman also had a great catch called back on penalty?

●  AJ Vongrootiver  (front 4 finally with some juice)

●  Cooper  (finally gets involved)

●  JA17  (gets his automatic mvp)

Honorable Mention mini balls go to Coleman, Benford and Buffalo Joe (8 tackles)....

In Coleman's defense the first drop was a scramble drill sideline coming back to the ball drop that was probably 25 yards downfield and the second was an RPO slant that looked like a bad drop but on replay one of the defenders actually tipped it and it was wobbling kind of funny.  Both hit him in the hands so they were drops but not easy catches.

True to often you read posts here, "it hit him in the hands" so that's a bad drop regardless of how hard of a catch it really was.

The way Shavers ran away from the defenders, he looked like 2 HOF WRs that also wore #80:  Jerry Rice and James Lofton.

I wondered that too but I think they would say Tyrod never re-established as a passer.

The early one on Brown? I don't think it was a TD. Coleman was out at like the 2. But it was a bad holding call. Brown blocked really well. Not sure what the official thought he saw.

I think the Jets, who got tagged with 16 accepted penalties, would have a similar argument.
