  1. 1. Will Josh Start vs. Pats in Week 18

    • Yes. He's not giving up the consecutive start streak

    • No. They are locked into the 2 seed and there's no reason for him to play

They should give him the week off.  Treat it like their bye week - there is an advantage mentally to not having to prepare for a game at all.

Voluntarily give up his Ironman streak?  Yeah right

I doubt it success.  Allen is proud of his consecutive starts doubles any active QB.  I’m with many, let him hand off three times and pull him.  Besides, these second stringers will benefit from more playing time.  Let guys like Anderson, Bishop, Davis, and so on get more playing time.  We can’t rest all of our O line, so some will start but the back five will get the bulk of the show.

I don’t think any of the starters will play next week other than Josh taking one snap and anyone else that they have to have play.

Otherwise all the starters will be on the bench with their regular clothes on. Josh has his uniform on for one play then goes to the locker room changes clothes and chills.

Agreed.  Give most all the starters the week off and treat it like the bye.  BUT…they can do that and still let Josh start, hand it off a few times to keep his Ironman streak alive.

I would do that… and try to get Cook his yards to get him to 1000.

The only caveat to not giving the starters the week off would be.. do you do some light practices with plays for the playoffs?   And essentially give the Pats game zero thought or prep.

Was wondering if Judon was still there when thinking of potential sbags that might take a shot. Would be ok with something super simple and gimmicky - handoff and out - but otherwise bubble wrap.

Actually playing even just a series also can have advantage of staying in normal game day routine as part of prep for the next week

I think they will let Allen start, play one series and hand the ball off a few times.  The only downside I do see is likely they start Mitch, what if he were to get hurt, they'd then have to bring Josh back in, believe in Q4 you can play your 3rd QB who's not officially part of the active roster??  (that rule has changed so many times not certain what it is these days)  Would they make the 3rd string QB active just to be safe and short change a roster spot someplace else, maybe Cook sits?
