Heavy Kevi Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Nantz and Romo said they believe Josh cares so much about his consecutive start streak, that he'll play a series or even just 1 down vs. the Pats to keep it going. What do we think? Quote
Warcodered Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Yes, he's done it in previous games where we plan on resting our starters, no reason to expect that to change. 3 1 Quote
Monty98 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Play a series or two to go through the motions, then on the sideline with a jacket and cap 3 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Yup. He'll start, play a few plays and then it's Mitch or Mike White time 1 Quote
Process Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I mean him "starting" is a guarantee. They'll let him take the first snap and hand it off at minimum. Should be one snap and done, IMO. 1 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Yes. I expect him to play the 1st series, then go hang with Hailee in a luxury suite. Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Hopefully just one hand off. I don’t want him doing more than that given how he plays the game. Quote
Success Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 They should give him the week off. Treat it like their bye week - there is an advantage mentally to not having to prepare for a game at all. Quote
gonzo1105 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 If he does play next week it will be one series where we hand off the football 3 times. Quote
paulmm3 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Announcers said Josh cares more about the start streak than MVP. So yeah, if Josh cares they'll definitely have him start, run one play, and put Trubisky in Quote
The 9 Isles Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Josh Allen must have missed at least 4 full quarters of football due to be pulled early. that’s a full game less than most others who might have to play catch up or garbage time padding their stats. 1 Quote

turbo044 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 He played the first half in a similar situation vs Miami a few years back. Plus 14 wins would be a franchise record Quote

I think there's an advantage to practicing like you are going to play and staying in the "grind" mentality. I feel like time off (for just about any job) rounds off your sharp edges and makes you rusty. 3 Quote
Big Turk Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Yes...he cares more about the start streak than the MVP. He will hand the ball off on the first play and then trot off the field. Quote
billsfan89 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I suspect they will hand the ball off to Davis and then have Mitch take the rest of the game. Quote

What do we think? He comes out taking the first snap and hand off. Then leaves the field Quote
