There's been a TON of good movies that have come out in the last 10 years. For example: Fight Club Saving Private Ryan Hey... Stop Stabbing Me Lord of the Rings Pirates of the Carribean Spider Man (1 and 2) Shrek etc. And the soon to be released, Serenity http://www.serenitymovie.com There are always going to be crappy books, crappy movies, crappy games. Of which only about 4 were good movies. A couple sucked IMHO and a few were barely watchable. Like I said, very little ability seem to be coming to the theatre any more.

Did you not notice the "etc" at the end? And only 4 were good, two sucked, and a few were barely watchable? Care to label each for me? CW 367727 Pirates was a great movie Shreak was good (no acting involved however) LOTR were for the most part good Spider man was watchable Private Ryan was watchable, but too be honest really not that good of a movie Fight Club, sucked and was a horrible movie Never even heard of the other one. Think about it there really has only been one great movie probably in 10 years.

Voice acting is, in a lot of ways, more difficult than "real" acting. LOTR is 3 movies, so there's five that you consider good/great. I have no idea how you can say Fight Club sucked... To each their own though. And "Hey... Stop Stabbing Me!" I threw in there to see if people were reading -- but it IS really funny, for a no-budget movie. So you're saying Pirates is the only great movie created in the last ten yeras? CW

VABills Posted June 26, 2005 Author Posted June 26, 2005 Daddy Day Care also didn't make a top 10 list but I thought it was a good movie as well.
Mark Long Beach Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Well looking at that topten list only, I have to say I thought most of them sucked too. However there's lots of good movies that aren't on that list. A few of them are great. as for your highlighted ones... I think I'm even harsher than you. although I'd have included "My big fat greek wedding," and "Saving Pvt Ryan".
MDH Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Daddy Day Care also didn't make a top 10 list but I thought it was a good movie as well. 367737 Why do you care what's in the top 10? Is this the extent of the films you go to see? There are TONS of good films made every year. You just need to seek them out instead of having the Hollywood marketing department decide what's worth seeing for you. There's an entire world of cinema out there, if you're tired of Hollywood check out what the rest of the world is producing (or hell, check out what's coming from the US outside of the top 10 lists).
Smoker2Buffalo Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Well, you can say you thought those movies were good, but that doesn't make the other ones not good. I agree with some of your bolded ones, but a few I don't consider good movies at all. And some of the ones you considered not good, I think are great movies. It's all a matter of opinion. I could go through those lists, and we'd disagree on over half of them.

mtdoak Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 You people really don't like Movies..... In the past 10 years... Memento City of God Collateral Gladiator Black Hawk Down Saving Private Ryan Schindlers List Se7en Kill Bill Vol 1 Kill Bill Vol 2 Pulp Fiction The Game Fight Club Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Being John Malcovich Adaptation The Matrix The Aviator American Splendor Sideways The Virgin Suicides Lost in Translation Rushmore Royal Tennebaums I can keep going. Yes, there are alot of sh------- movies out there, esp in the summertime, but you need to remember that there are alot of quality American Films put out every year.
Smoker2Buffalo Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I'm being picky, but Schindler's List was 12 years ago. Still, one of the greatest films of all time. The greatest in my mind.
