PFF is not the end all but it is a metric and hopefully this accurately depicted Milano's performance and is a harbinger of things to come from him.

Also, if the Bills start their starters, they should absolutely still play guys like Cole Bishop and Milano so that there is another weeks worth of evaluation to determine if these guys should get significant snaps in the post season.

I haven't watched the All 22 yet, but I thought watching Milano yesterday that he got better as the game went along and it was noticeable.  I thought early in the game he was playing pretty much how he has been since coming back.....a little slow to process and a step slow to react.  However, I thought as the game went along yesterday, he seemed to be better.  Looked like he was firing a little quicker and was out of place much less.  Again, I haven't watched the film yet to confirm this assessment, but I came away encouraged by the end of the game.  Now, is that just because the Jets phoned it in when the game got out of hand?  Maybe.  I hope not, though.

One thing I have yet to read, perhaps I have missed it, is how the bills were shutting down everything between the hashes and leaving open the deep and the outside stuff.

It was a strange strategy that I was surprised work given the tone of Rodgers, evidently the Bills new he is not his former self

I don't think so this play.  There was a gap, with 'nard dog lurking in it, and Benford minding the LOG the whole play. Rodgers woulda gotten blown up if he tried to run it.  Shoulda taken the checkdown to 20 though.

But perhaps a different play is meant as this is actually 3rd and 1, but I thought it's the play referenced as the TE was open and Rodgers just badly missed him.

It's about 1:50 in

Nope, you're right about the play. At the time I was for sure glad he didn't go for it, but after rewatching a couple times, he may not have made it. Hey I'm just used to having Josh. Josh would have made it. Rogers.....maybe not. Probably not.

Their OL is so bad and Rodgers has almost zero mobility, so the Bills knew that the Jets would run the ball and use quick passes to mitigate those weaknesses. That worked for the Jets until the Bills got a two-score lead and the Jets had to throw. Then it became sack city.

Their tackles are poor but the interior has been good.  Its a copout blaming the jets oline for their struggles this year.

I understand this, when Taylor got in he was putting the ball all over the place

Rogers could have just gotten a deep shot or two it might have softened the defense.

It does make me laugh and think that Taylor could be playing quarterback for Rex Ryan again

pretty gracious of Rodgers to answer that question. A lot of players would have exploded at that sort of question after a loss.

Nah I agree, the onions on the reporter though lmao

His mobility improved as the game went on and he is getting a little more lift on the left arm than last week, but his tackling is not reliable yet. He is probably at the moment a wash over playing Williams but presuming the team's calculus that in 3 weeks he will be better than any other option on our roster is looking like it might be a safe bet. My big concern is that since his tackling is his biggest liability, facing a big running back/attack early in the playoffs might be disastrous for both he and the D.

ha ha.  Good response by A-Rod.

I kind of thought it was a douche, self-aggrandizing response to reference his own 4 MVP titles in his response when he just played like crap and let his team down.

He could easily have said something like "Josh is playing at an MVP level this season and it's fun to watch, but we're really too different as QBs to answer that question; I wasn't the rushing threat he is, for example" (or something like that).  Or he could have said "I've really been focused on trying to play better and help the Jets, which means watching the defenses; I haven't seen enough of Josh's games to answer"

Really?  I thought the smirk and the reference to his own 4 MVP seasons when he just lost the game and played like crap was kind of pathetic.

"Gracious" is not the word I would use to describe it.

A guy who fancies himself as a veteran leader should never explode in an interview, he should know how to handle himself in public by now.

yeah but it sounds like the reporter was definitely trying to bait him the way the question was worded.  As @Miyagi-Do Karate mentioned above, at least a handful of QBs around the league would have handled the question a LOT less gracefully.

It's really a good question.  Do you play Milano, who knows exactly where he's supposed to be, but who might not get there fast enough or tackle well enough?  Or do you play Williams, who will get there quickly and tackle hard, but who is still struggling to figure out what gap he's supposed to mind or what his assignment is when the offense changes post-snap.

Really?  It would only be asked of great QB who have played at an MVP level or won AP NFL MVP.
The list of current players who have done that is Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes, and Aaron Rodgers.

Which of Jackson or Mahomes do you think would have exploded?

I think both of Jackson and Mahomes would have said something about "fun to watch Josh, focused on watching D during the season, we're different players" or maybe "we lost and I'm still thinking about the game and how I could have played better, I can't really answer that right now".
