I think that’ll happen honestly.

Commanders to lose.

Lions to win.

Seahawks have to beat the Rams................

If that happens, the Seahawks will also need all of this NEXT week:

Broncos beat the Chiefs.

Dolphins beat the Jets.

Falcons beat the Panthers.

Cardinals beat the 49ers.

Bears beat the Packers.

Patriots beat the Bills.

Lions beat the Vikings.

Buccaneers beat the Saints.

Chargers beat the Raiders.

I would guess that the bengals, Denver and dolphins game would be on at the same time,  and all on Sunday at 4:30. (Could be wrong )

But Historically the nfl has always put the games on the same time if a team needs a certain team to lose to get in.

there’s a very limited number of games available that have actual meaning. I don’t think ESPN paid a bunch of money for games that don’t have serious playoff implications. You would also get more eyeballs on the games if you spread them out I think.

The only risk is dolphins and Bengals both lose making the Denver game totally irrelevant. A pretty slim chance both lose though.

Ya that's a fair point. So last year I checked and the games were Steelers/Ravens and Texans/colts. Both playoff implications, to your point

If the rams Seahawks game means anything, that might be the Saturday nighter.

But ya would still have to fill the 4:30 with a meaningful game

Also the Seahawks will win the Powerball if the following happen:

5 is drawn

11 is drawn

37 is drawn

41 is drawn

53 is drawn

11 is drawn again, but this time as the Powerball.

Exactly.  I wonder what the Vegas odds are for the Seahawks winning the division right now.

Absolutely amazing.  The bengals play on Saturday and if they win they can get right to work on preparing for the bills while the bills have a game to play Sunday on the road.

i don’t care that cincy is on the road or that it’s a night game, this should never happen.

They also almost guaranteed the Steelers have nothing to play for against the Bengals because the Ravens aren’t losing to the DTR led Browns.

The TV networks don't pay big bucks for meaningless stand alone seeding implication games. You all need to get over the Bengals having an extra day. There are three games featuring teams that could be the 7 seed. Odds were very low one of them wouldn't be on Saturday. If Bills staff is so concerned they can start prepping for Bengals tomorrow.

Nope.

Steelers are at worst 5 seed if they win. Lose and they are likely the 6 seed. Big difference between going to Baltimore vs. going to Houston. Houston has been hot garbage for half the season now.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if after Baltimore beats the breaks off a Cleveland team that has clearly given up, that Pittsburgh empties the clip trying to beat Cinci to play at Houston instead of at Baltimore.

You don't see a difference between playing at Baltimore vs. the hot trash that is Houston?

I don’t give a damn about the tv contracts.  The league should never allow this.

also if you don’t understand how valuable that time is to a veteran coaching staff in Cincy and think it’s no big deal than you don’t understand exactly what these guys do.

not to mention the players can get to work on rehab and recovery quicker.

its just simply wrong.

Not to mention, it's an AFC NORTH rivalry game in the final week of the season with playoff implications for BOTH teams. Difficult to imagine a somewhat middling Pittsburgh squad led by Mike Tomlin letting their collective foot off the gas.

I don’t know how much that would matter to Pittsburgh specifically.

They’ve had TJ Watt and George Pickens banged up recently, both absolutely essential to them having a chance to do anything in the playoffs.

They also, last matchup aside, have given Baltimore all sorts of trouble.
